German electrician resigns to become professional Jeff Bezos look-alike

A German electrician who quit his job to pursue a career as a Jeff Bezos lookalike says he now enjoys a luxurious lifestyle, just like the billionaire. According to New York Post OfficeCagdas Halicilar, 46, known for his striking resemblance to the billionaire, says he “looks like his twin brother”.

After taking office, his fortunes changed considerably, as he is now often found traveling on extravagant cruises. He also enjoys enormous popularity, as many of Bezos’ fans approach him for selfies and videos, for which he willingly poses.

It all happened a few years ago when his friend showed him a photo of Jeff Bezos and highlighted their similarities.

“When I became a businessman, my friends and acquaintances told me that I looked like a multimillionaire. I didn’t know what they meant by that until they showed me the photo of Jeff Bezos; some of my friends joked that he had cloned me,” he said.

Halicilar then began imitating the Amazon founder’s bald appearance and got into character, which he said only requires a little effort. He then signed up with a lookalike agency.

“Since Jeff Bezos also dresses casually, it doesn’t matter if I’m wearing a suit or jeans and a polo shirt. The only thing I do is shave my head and apply Nivea cream regularly. But I’ve been doing this for over 10 years,” he said.

Thanks to his new job, he got several great opportunities, including several gigs on German TV stations and at events. He even made a cameo appearance in the German Netflix miniseries “King of Stonks.”

During his recent trip to Seattle, Halicilar recounted how Amazon employees came to him looking for selfies.

“When I was in Seattle with my friends, we walked through the Amazon campus. All the Amazon employees came up to me, wanted selfies and thanked me for being proud to work at Amazon,” he recalled.

However, he confessed that his girlfriend, Bárbara, is irritated by the attention she receives on the street.

Halicilar says he can now live a life similar to Bezos. ”I also have a lifestyle almost the same as him – I often travel on ships and even have a butler and drink good whiskey like Jeff. My wish is to drink whiskey with Jeff Bezos on his yacht – he’s as much of a yacht fanatic as I am,” he added.
