Dhaka:
The leader of student demonstrations in Bangladesh that turned into widespread violence extended the suspension of the protests for another 48 hours on Tuesday.
“During the 48 hours we will not hold any protests. Our demand is that the government restores the Internet, lifts the curfew, reopens the campuses and protects student protesters,” Nahid Islam, the main leader of Students Against Discrimination, told AFP news agency.
