An officer can be heard saying: “This is the shooter who sent the original photo and saw him get off his bike, drop his backpack and then lose sight of him.”

I’m a Former US Navy SEAL Sniper – Went to the Butler Roof and the Secret Service Made Trump ‘Extremely Vulnerable’

The body camera clip comes after Senator Chuck Grassley called on the Secret Service to release more information to the public following the failed assassination attempt on Republican candidate Trump.

He said: “Federal agencies, particularly the Secret Service, have failed to be transparent with the American people.

“This assassination attempt is a matter of substantial public interest, and the business of the public should be public.”

Grassley released the video on the same day that Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle stepped down after pressure from lawmakers.

The Secret Service had previously claimed that it was only responsible for demonstration sites and that local police were responsible for protecting the AGR, according to the New York Post.

A Secret Service spokesperson told Daily Beast: “All of us at the Secret Service are committed to better understanding what happened before, during and after the attempted assassination of former President Trump to ensure it never happens again.

“This includes full cooperation with Congress, the FBI and other relevant investigations.”

Alleged assassin Thomas Crooks, 20, positioned himself on a rooftop just 400 feet away from the former president before launching his horrific attack at an outdoor rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The shooter, who grazed Trump’s ear with one of his bullets, leaving one dead and two seriously injured, was shot dead by Secret Service snipers moments later.

Police officers at the time found the body of Thomas Crooks

NEW footage has shown the moment police officers found the body of Thomas Crooks after he was shot by a sniper for trying to assassinate former President Donald Trump. A man who appeared to be a heavily armed Secret Service agent could be heard talking about the alleged killer.

“So this is the guy,” the man in the suit told the heavily armed officer.

“Yes. The Beaver County shooter who saw him and sent the photos. This is him,” the officer replied.

“This is the shooter who sent the original photo and saw him get off his bike and drop his backpack and then lost sight of him,” he told the man who appeared to be a Secret Service agent.

“So we’re treating this as a suspicious device?” asked the man who looked like a Secret Service agent.

“Maybe they were involved, maybe they weren’t,” the man in the suit recalled.

“The guys who saw them filming said, ‘They were filming us, then filming the guy on the roof, and then filming us.’ When the shots started ringing, they tried to run away, isn’t that what everyone would do if they had a phone?”

He then spoke about a man he said was detained on the ground.

“I’m not saying they were involved or not, but I had no problem stopping them. I just want to stop these guys, find out what they know, who they are, whatever it is, I’m trying to get clear information to relay back to DC.”

‘QUARTER INCH OF DEATH’

Trump, 78, took the stage at his rally shortly after 6 p.m.

He had just begun his campaign rally when he turned his attention to a graphic about illegal immigration at the border when gunshots rang out.

The former president quickly grabbed his ear and pulled him out to find blood on his hand.

At the Republican National Convention, Trump remembered the moment he felt “something” hit him “very hard” in his right ear.

“I said to myself, ‘Wow, what was that?’ It could only be a bullet,” he said.

He also described “blood gushing everywhere” as he lay beneath the bodies of his Secret Service agents.

“If I hadn’t moved my head at that moment, the assassin’s bullet would have hit its target,” he told the crowd.

He said he was “a quarter of an inch from death” but turned his head at the last secondwho saved him.

The Trump campaign released an update on the presidential candidate’s injuries, revealing that the bullet produced a 2-centimeter-wide wound that “extended to the cartilaginous surface of the ear.”
