Qatar’s Al Baladi Holding Group has teamed up with Azerbaijan’s Green Capital Management for a major global expansion of its Go Crispy restaurant and Tea Time cafe chains.

The project foresees the opening of 400 new branches around the world – an important step in the company’s strategic marketing plan.

Go Crispy, known for its halal chicken dishes and fast food options, was first launched in 2019 by chef Hissa Al Sulaiti.

Tea Time has established itself as one of the largest coffee shop chains in Qatar and is known for its signature saffron tea and signature drink Karak.

The initial phase of expansion will focus on countries such as Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, the United Kingdom and several European countries, with plans to expand to a total of 27 countries.

Chairman of Al-Baladi Holding Group, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah, said: “We are excited to expand our distinctive Qatari brands globally.

“Go Crispy restaurants successfully mix delicious fast food with fresh, nutritious chicken, while Tea Time cafes, with over 100 branches, have already established a global presence. We are prepared to compete in the main international markets.

“Our investment partnerships are crucial to our long-term expansion and excellence plans. Today’s partnership is another step towards taking our success to new markets, demonstrating our ability to surpass the largest international restaurant chains in quality and service.”

The expansion is expected to not only enhance the growth of Al Baladi brands but also generate employment opportunities in new markets.

Green Capital Management shareholder Khayal Jibov said: “Both Go Crispy and Tea Time have demonstrated remarkable success in Qatar and beyond, demonstrating their competitiveness and exceptional service quality. We are confident that this partnership will lead to significant achievements in global markets, including Asia.”
