Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has signed two new Taj hotels in the Kingdom of Bahrain, marking the company’s foray into the country.

The Taj resort in Hamala will offer 251 rooms and other amenities, including an all-day restaurant, two restaurants, a swimming pool and an exclusive beach club.

This resort also features a fitness center, spa and 1,200 m² banquet facilities.

The Taj Hotel in the center of Seef, Manama, will feature 200 rooms and a range of amenities including a gym, spa, swimming pool, all-day dining and specialty restaurants, as well as a dedicated pool bar.

The Downtown Seef Hotel will offer additional banquet areas.

IHCL Managing Director and CEO Puneet Chhatwal said: “We are pleased to announce two hotels in the island nation of Bahrain, in line with our strategy of increasing Taj’s presence in key gateway cities around the world.

“With a portfolio of seven hotels, including four under development in the Middle East, these hotels will expand our presence in the MENA region. We are delighted to partner with Kingdom Projects to showcase the iconic Taj with its world-class hospitality, elevating Bahrain’s tourism landscape.”

The two properties will expand IHCL’s presence in the Middle East to seven hotels, four of which are under development.

Recently, the IHCL signed an agreement for a 200-room Taj hotel in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India.
