The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday refused to suspend Donald Trump’s upcoming sentence for his conviction in New York state court on criminal charges involving hush money paid to a porn star and a related gag order until after the election of November 5th.
The justices’ decision came in response to a lawsuit filed by the state of Missouri, alleging that the case against Trump infringed on voters’ right under the US Constitution to hear from the Republican presidential candidate as he tries to win back the White House.
