PREVIOUSLY unseen photos of the Royal Family are on display for the first time.
The intimate images, including four royal mothers with their babies in their arms, will be revealed tomorrow at Buckingham Palace.
Queen Elizabeth, sister Princess Margaret, cousin Princess Alexandra and the Duchess of Kent showed off their newborns in 1964.
For six decades, this family photo taken by Margaret’s photographer husband, Lord Snowdon, has been in a private album. From today onwards, the public will be able to see the image in a new exhibition.
It’s one of 150 on display, including a pose of the Princess of Wales on her 40th birthday and a reflective look at young Charles and Anne.
Royal Portraits: A Century of Photography is at The King’s Gallery from today until 6 October.

‘A once in a lifetime photo’ of mothers
The royal that shines in this remarkable family portrait is the late Queen.
Having all those real mothers with their newborn babies together is a once in a lifetime chance.
Tony Snowdon – photographing the monarchy before he even married Princess Margaret – is the master of his art.
He takes advantage of the natural light from the window and positions Elizabeth in the perfect spot so your eyes go straight to her.
It’s wonderful that the royals have decided to allow the public to share this special moment in history.
