PRINCE Harry is “goosebumps” about his new job – as he and Meghan Markle try to ‘save their image’ with the ‘rival’ royal family.

The Duke of Sussex has revealed exciting new plans for a luxury Invictus Games center in Abuja, Nigeria.

It aims to provide a safe space for veterans recovering from physical and mental struggles, as reported by People.

A description of the future refuge says: “The Invictus Center is a testament to the unwavering courage and fortitude of wounded, wounded or sick soldiers, offering them a sanctuary of healing, hope and empowerment.”

This will help them heal, but it will also tell them that they will not be left alone

Harry spoke about the innovative project during his trip to Nigeria with Meghan earlier this month.

He told a reception, hosted by the Chief of Defense Staff, General Christopher Musa, how the forward-thinking center aimed to reduce the stigma surrounding injuries.

“That’s what the new center you’re building is all about. Seeing the plans for the new Invictus Center gives me goosebumps,” said the father of two.

The Duke also praised Nigeria’s team at the games and said they “represented their service and this country, extraordinarily – they won medals and came away with smiles on their faces”.

‘HEALING, HOPE AND RENEWAL’

Architect Kobina Banning tells PEOPLE, “This space will be a place of healing for veterans.”

He explained how Nigeria has the largest army in Africa and how the new center will “give more hope” to those who serve.

“It will help them heal, but it will also tell them that they will not be left alone,” Kobina added.

The architect, who joined Harry and Meghan for much of the trip, described his future creation.

He said the “timeless beauty and functionality” will allow soldiers to experience a “transformative journey of healing, hope and renewal.”

Veterans will enjoy peaceful gardens with breathtaking surrounding scenery.

There are indoor and outdoor gyms, as well as spaces for family and friends to gather.

The description added: “Here, in the embrace of nature and community, lives are transformed and the human spirit soars ever higher, undaunted by the challenges that lie ahead.”

REAL RIVAL

It turns out that a royal expert has claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are in a desperate attempt to save their image.

The couple have just returned from their three-day trip to Nigeria – which has since been dubbed a “fake royal trip”.

The visit began with a visit to Lightway Academy, a primary and secondary school in the capital.

This was followed by a visit to the Nigerian Defense HQ on Friday to meet with military wives and senior officials.

It’s always unwise to underestimate the Sussexes because you never know what’s coming next

Harry played volleyball the next day, before Meghan referred to Nigeria as “my country.”

Now a royal expert believes “an alternative royal family is emerging” after many fans compared the trip to a royal trip.

Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive with Matt Wilkinson, Gareth Russell said: “To all intents and purposes, that is a real possibility.

“The problem for the Sussexes is that when you start doing something like this, people become much more critical of what you do outside of it – like business ventures or quasi-royal travel.

“People are going to put them under a microscope because they’re calling it ‘Harry and Meghan’s Office.’

“It’s interesting. I wonder if this is part of a plan to move away from some of the harsh headlines they’ve had over the last couple of years?

More ‘fake royal tours’

The Duke has hinted at more ‘faux-real’ tours following his ‘memorable’ trip to Nigeria.

After visits to a war zone and Meghan claiming Nigeria as “my country” – Harry said there are “limits” to what he and his wife can do over Zoom.

The Duke said PESSOAS Magazine: “We’re looking forward to traveling more because work is important.

“Whether it’s the Archewell Foundation, Invictus or any of our other causes, there will always be reasons to get to know the people at the heart of our work.”

Harry also praised Africa, where he is involved in conservation and his charity Sentebale, as a “very, very special place”.

He added: “You know what Africa has meant to me over the years.

“To be able to include Nigeria now [in Invictus]I am really happy.”

“Will it perhaps be a slightly more socially conservative direction and consider themselves royals in exile for lack of a better word?

“What I wonder is whether they are acting on the advice that people don’t want to hear them criticizing the royal family.”

‘HUGE QUESTION MARK’

But fellow royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun on Sunday there is a “big question mark” the Royal Family will have over how the Sussexes’ “faux-royal” trip was handled.

He said: “Over there, the Sussexes are worried, there’s a big question mark over how this all [tour] was treated.

“You can’t help but feel… that a lot is going on behind the scenes.

“As for trusting the Sussexes, no matter how successful their trip is… I think there will be a lot of concern [from Buckingham Palace] about how they built publicity, used it and, some would say, exploited it, for their trip to Nigeria.

“It’s always unwise to underestimate the Sussexes because you never know what’s coming next.

“Unpredictability is something the Royal Family finds very difficult to deal with.”
