Kate Middleton has turned a corner and will be 100 percent back to work – we all feel her absence keenly

KATE Middleton has “turned a corner” with her health recovery and will “100 per cent” return to work, a royal expert claims.

Katie Nicholl, who is Vanity Fair’s royal correspondent, shared how Kate “will be considered Princess of Wales” when she is ready and has been approved by her medical team.

Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive Show, Katie said: “Sources very close to the Princess of Wales that she had difficulties with the treatment initially.

“It’s preventive chemotherapy, it’s not something pleasant.

“Nobody wants to go through that, you know, after major surgery, quite a long recovery period, and then they have to go through treatment.

“I think it was a struggle at first and I was very, very relieved to hear from more than one source that she recently turned a corner.”

‘BACK TO WORK’

The royal author debunked a story she read that claimed Princess Kate would not “return to work in the same role.”

She told The Sun’s royal editor Matt Wilkinson: “I really don’t think that’s the case.

“All I hear is that she will go back to work.

“She is 100 percent coming back to be the Princess of Wales and do the great work she was doing before.

“It will only be her time and she will be ready and crucially when she receives approval from her medical team.”

Last week, Prince William and King Charles joined world leaders and veterans in a series of events to mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

KATE IS LOST

Prince William revealed that Kate was feeling “better”, adding: “She would love to be here today.”

Katie shared how the Princess of Wales missed the celebratory event and how Prince William currently has a lot on his shoulders.

She added: “I think we have all felt his absence very, very keenly over the last few days.

“Even Williams said she would have loved to be there and she would have done it, you are feeling it for him there.

“I think this is all a reminder of how much weight and burden is falling on William.

“He is playing the role of Prince of Wales brilliantly, perfectly, but I think it’s a huge burden on him at the moment.

“He is going through a lot.

“And I think this is all a reminder that the royals are just human like the rest of us.”

KATE’S MOVING LETTER

The regiment – of which the royal is colonel-in-chief – shared a video on X showing the note being read to troops as they prepared for the precursor to Trooping the Colour.

She said her role as colonel “remains a great honor,” adding: “I am very sorry that I will not be able to receive the salute at this year’s colonel induction ceremony. Analysis.”

The Colonel-in-Chief normally received the salute at the review, which took place this morning.

It’s a big hint that she will miss the main ceremony on June 15 entirely – although there is a chance she could watch it from the balcony of Buckingham Palace and not take an active role.

In January, it was confirmed that she would cancel all royal engagements to undergo major abdominal surgery.

Then, in March, Kate uploaded a video to Instagram in which she boldly announced that she was undergoing treatment for an unspecified cancer.

Palace sources insisted that the princess would continue to rest and recover until her doctor gave her the all-clear.
