A YELLOW weather warning has been issued for large parts of the UK as crowds were left soaking wet during the Trooping the Color parade.

The Met Office has issued a yellow storm warning for northern England and Scotland.

The weather front is expected to last until around 11pm today.

The Met Office told the public to expect: “Slow-moving thunderstorms and heavy showers may cause some disruption to travel and outdoor activities.”

They added that drivers should allow longer journeys and that train services could also be affected.

Flooding was expected and lightning could strike buildings and other structures.

The warning affects the north of England and much of Scotland.

Earlier today, crowds braved the rain as the royals exited Buckingham Palace during Trooping the Color, in Kate’s first public appearance since Christmas.

The day was marked by rain, but the downpours couldn’t dim Kate’s glow today as she smiled alongside her children.

Fans watched in amazement as the princess played and laughed with 10-year-old Prince George, nine-year-old Princess Charlotte and six-year-old Prince Louis.
