QUEEN Elizabeth was “terribly fragile” during her final days but was comforted by Prince William and Princess Kate, a royal expert claims.

The health of the longest-running monarch deteriorated rapidly in tragic scenes that left the country in mourning for weeks.

Thousands of people from all over the world lined the streets of London to see his funeral procession just three months after the Platinum Jubilee.

In what appeared to be a shocking turn of events, Queen Elizabeth was actually secretly battling the “constant pain” of her bone marrow cancer diagnosis, it is claimed.

And in June 2022, she had to muster all her strength to appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace as crowds gathered at the mall to celebrate her 70th birthday.

Royal expert Robert Jobson said his latest appearances “took a lot of courage”.

Writing to Online Mailhe said: “His health deteriorated rapidly over the next three months.

“She struggled terribly with vision problems and had difficulty even lifting a teapot to fill her cup.”

And a source close to the late Queen revealed: “Her Majesty could barely see and simply didn’t have the strength.

“She would get terribly frustrated because she hated making a mess by spilling everything on the tray.

“She would ask for a smaller pot and get frustrated when the staff forgot and brought the big one.”

Robert added that Queen Elizabeth “knew she was dying” but took “immense comfort” knowing that Prince William and his wife Kate were around to take over one day.

He said: “As his strength declined, it brought him immense comfort to know that the monarchy could be entrusted to the next two generations.”

Prince William has recently taken on royal duties – appearing at events on behalf of his father King Charles and Princess Kate as they both battle cancer diagnoses.

In April, Wills visited a school in Sandwell, West Midlands, to meet a 12-year-old boy who wrote him a heartfelt letter about the stigma surrounding men’s mental health.

The royal apologized for Kate’s absence and said she would “love to be there.”

Both Wills and Kate work with charities Mind, Samaritans, Shout and Hospice UK.
