TODAY is a very special day for Zara and Mike Tindall, who celebrate 13 years of marriage.
Former rugby star Mike popped the question to Princess Anne’s daughter in 2010 and sealed the deal with a stunning £140,000 engagement ring.
The five-carat solitaire diamond ring had a sparkling pavé band and Mike carefully chose the design with the work of Olympian Zara in mind.
The ring has a deliberately discreet setting, so Zara could continue to use it during equestrian events.
Zara took home the silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics, which was presented to her by her mother.
While the jewelry may be “practical” for sporting events, it can keep Zara busy behind the scenes.
Jewelery expert Tenishia McSweeney, from Prestige Pawnbrokers on Channel 4’s Posh Pawn, told Fabulous: ““Insurance can cost thousands to millions just to insure goods.
“One of the most expensive examples is a Harry Winston replica of the iconic blue diamond necklace from the film Titanic worn by Gloria Stuart when nominated for best supporting actress.
“That was insured for $20 million.
“Security costs go beyond safe.
“Celebrities need to protect themselves against lost items, damage and theft.”
Tenishia also said that Zara – who is mother to Mia, Lena and Lucas – will need to have regular maintenance on her six-figure diamond ring.
She explained: “Customers will be able to pay for brands to provide specialist care, including polishing and maintaining items directly from, for example, Cartier or Rolex, which can cost a pretty penny, or they can take a trip to Hatton Garden and find a reputable jeweler to help them.
“All regularly worn jewelry should be cleaned once a month and how you do this completely depends on the piece.
“Something like a diamond ring can be washed thoroughly at home, but more porous gemstones are more susceptible to water damage, so they need to be cleaned by an expert.”
TINDALLS A-LIST WEDDING
The couple remarried on 30 July 2011 at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh with a reception at the Palace of Holyroodhouse – the late monarch’s official residence in Scotland.
It is reported that Scotland was chosen as the location due to Zara’s close Scottish ties and fond memories of time spent at Balmoral with her grandmother.
The sunny wedding day saw thousands of well-wishers lining the streets and among the guests were celebrities from the world of sports television and acting, just like the royal family.
Happening a few months later William and Kate’s lavish big day ceremonyMike and Zara’s wedding was considered more relaxed and was led by the late Queen and late Prince Phillip, Scottish Daily Express reported.
Before the couple’s wedding, it was announced that due to her success as a world-class equestrian champion, Princess Anne’s daughter would not take Mike’s surname.
However, as of March 2016, around five years after her wedding day, she now goes by the surname Tindall.
Throughout the day, Zara included several special nods to the late monarch, such as her reception and sentimental bridal attire, which saw her wear a classic white dress accessorized with an elaborate veil and a gorgeous bouquet of white flowers.

She trained as a physiotherapist at Exeter University.
Zara is also an accomplished equestrian and Olympic silver medalist.
FAMILY HERITAGE
As part of her wedding ensemble she also paid a touching tribute to her late grandfather Prince Philip – the Meander Tiara.
Like all royal jewelry, the stunning tiara also has a history.
As reported by Expressothe Meander Tiara came into the family of Princess Alice, mother of Prince Philip – however, when she herself received it remains a mystery to this day.
Alice wore the Greek design tiara all over her body. marriedbefore gifting it to Princess Elizabeth when she married Prince Philip in 1947.
