THOMAS Markle says he and King Charles were treated “very badly” by Harry and Meghan – claiming he could die without ever meeting his grandchildren.

Meghan’s father has been estranged from his daughter since he suffered two heart attacks on the eve of her wedding to Harry.

The 80-year-old was unable to walk Meghan down the aisle and the couple have not spoken to him since.

Thomas never met his son-in-law Harry or his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet.

King Charles has also rarely seen his grandchildren Harry and Meghan since they moved to California in 2020.

Tomás told Correspondence: “None of us deserve the treatment we receive.

“Why did they treat not only me so badly, but also the royal family and the king?

“Archie and Lilibet have two grandpas who want to see them, one of which is the king of England.”

Thomas lives alone in Rosarito, on Mexico’s Pacific coast – just 250 miles from the Sussexes’ mansion in Montecito.

The Emmy-winning lighting director will turn 80 next month – but is suffering the effects of a serious stroke two years ago.

Thomas said he would love Meghan to call on his birthday, but he doesn’t expect her to get in touch.

He added that he would now be happy with a photograph of his grandchildren, even if he couldn’t meet them.

Meghan lived full-time with Thomas from the age of 11, while her mother Doria traveled for work.

Instead, he will spend the day with his son Thomas Jr at his home in Mexico.

Thomas will also call his oldest daughter, Samantha, who has multiple sclerosis and cannot travel from Florida.

I watched Prince Harry grow up – I know why he will NEVER return to royal life

A ROYAL expert who watched Prince Harry grow up says she knows why he will never return to royal life.

Harry has been living in California with his wife Meghan since they dramatically quit their jobs as senior royals in 2020.

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond said Harry would be a “great asset” to the palace.

But she said Harry, who lives in California, now has the “domestic happiness” he lacked as a child.

Appearing on today’s episode of The Sun’s Royal Exclusive, Bond said: “I can’t imagine Harry returning, actually.

“And yes – I miss him. Harry was the most popular royal a few years ago, wasn’t he?”

“Having seen him grow up and knowing him a little, he was a wonderful boy and a charming, jovial teenager.

“At least that’s what we saw. He was brilliant for the royal family, he brought a natural and common touch.

“They would have been a great asset if he had stayed, but I don’t think he will return.

“If I prayed, I would pray that he has a happy life now, with everything he wants.

“The freedom he wanted, the wife he loves and the children he adores.

“The model of domestic happiness he didn’t have in his adolescence.

“I wish him all the best.”
