KING Charles is selling organic honey for £25 a jar after getting tips from new friend David Beckham.
The King has just launched its Highgrove Royal Estate Honey, sold in 350g jars.
Former England captain Becks, who also keeps bees, gave Charles a jar of his own honey at a fashion party last year.
They met again last month at Highgrove Estate in the Cotswolds, before Becks became an ambassador for The King’s Foundation.
Beckham, 49, said afterwards: “It was inspiring to hear from the King about the work of Her Majesty’s Foundation during my recent visit to Highgrove Gardens – and compare beekeeping tips.”
The former football star has publicly discussed his passion for beekeeping.
The 2023 Netflix documentary series “Beckham” began with him collecting honey in an old jam jar.
Highgrove says: “This beautifully delicate Highgrove Organic Royal Estate honey is ideal for toast and breakfast treats,” the advert says.
“Produced from pollen collected by a myriad of bees living in traditional British double-walled hives exclusively commissioned on the property; Each hive has its own specific design and took almost a year to build by hand.
“In spring, bees work in the hedgerows at Highgrove Gardens, and from late June to early July they forage in the avenue of lemon trees.
“Smooth organic honey makes a fantastic gourmet gift for food lovers, with its distinctive lemon flavor.”
