INSIDERS have revealed the “real reason” why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s chief of staff resigned days before the couple’s trip to Colombia.

Josh Kettler left his role as the couple’s fixer after just three months.

Veteran PR chief Kettler was reportedly brought in to “guide Harry through his next phase.”

Kettler was hired on a trial basis and left by mutual consent after both sides agreed he was not suitable for the job, People reports.

His departure comes as Harry and Meghan prepare to fly to Colombia tomorrow.

Harry and Meghan’s latest trip is said to include trips to the capital Bogotá and the Pacific regions of Cartagena and Cali.

But it is understood that Kettler’s departure is not related to the upcoming trip.

Kettler joined Harry on his recent visit to London to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games.

He was photographed entering St Paul’s Cathedral with the Duke for the ceremony.

Kettler was also a key figure on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s three-day “tour” of Nigeria.

The duo will now tour Colombia at the invitation of the country’s vice president, Francia Márquez.

It’s no surprise that Harry and Meghan’s team is abandoning ship, says royal expert

Francia Márquez said: “I am pleased to announce that Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have kindly accepted my invitation to visit our beautiful country.

“The Duke and Duchess will join me on a visit to Bogotá, as well as the Caribbean and Pacific regions of Cartagena and Cali.

“In these vibrant locations, they will have the exceptional opportunity to interact with leaders, young people and women who embody the aspirations and voices of Colombians committed to progress.”

Francia Márquez added: “Their visit comes at a particularly significant time.

“It precedes the first Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence against Children, to be held in Colombia in November.

“The Archewell Foundation, founded by the Duke and Duchess, is known for its global leadership in promoting a safer online environment.

“The upcoming conference will reveal a comprehensive framework for creating safer physical and digital spaces.

“It will address issues such as cyberbullying, online exploitation and the impacts of these threats on mental health.

“It will offer viable solutions and commitments to countries around the world.”

Last month, Prince Harry’s charity boss Dominic Reid stepped down as chief executive of the Invictus Games Foundation.

Reid’s firing came just days after Harry was criticized for choosing to accept the Pat Tillman Service Award.

The Duke thanked Reid for his “dedication and leadership” in a heartfelt note following his resignation.

ROBERT JOBSON As Harry and Meghan’s chief adviser moves on after three months, what caused 18 members of staff to dramatically resign?

PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle are earning a reputation as tough taskmasters.

It appears that a notable number of your employees have struggled to meet the demands of their roles and have either quit or been pushed out – by mutual consent, of course.

The latest departure from the revolving door of aides is chief of staff Josh Kettler, who stepped down after just three months, citing a mutual agreement that the role was “not a good fit.”

The departure of the courteous American, who describes himself as an “experienced executive accelerator, organizer and confidant” on his LinkedIn profile, is a little embarrassing for the needy couple, as he was praised upon his arrival.

He was extremely visible during his short tenure, most notably spending three days with Harry at an Invictus Games event in Nigeria in May.

His exit also comes just before the couple’s planned “royal” trip to Colombia, adding to the challenges they face in managing their public image and charitable endeavors since stepping down as royals.

Of course, this isn’t the first time key members of the team have stepped away from the Sussexes.

An astonishing 18 employees have left to work for them in just a few years – nine since they moved to Montecito, California.

Many of their former Palace staff coined the term “Sussex Survivors Club” to describe themselves after they stopped working for the couple.

Some even half-jokingly believed that they suffered a form of post-traumatic stress.

After the last match in California, a source joked: “Maybe there should be a branch of the Sussex Survivors Club in Montecito.”

This golden couple, who tried to charm the world with their awakened crusade, just can’t seem to keep the team together.

But surely it can’t be their fault?

Evidence suggests otherwise, with departures occurring in large numbers and quickly.
