PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle’s trip to Colombia is “baffling” and “random”, a royal expert has claimed.

Victoria Murphy has claimed that there is no clear reason for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to visit Colombia.

The royal expert spoke to The Sun’s royal editor Matt Wilkinson on Royal Exclusive.

It turns out that the Duke and Duchess are due to fly to Colombia tomorrow.

Harry and Meghan’s latest trip is said to include trips to the capital Bogotá and the Pacific regions of Cartagena and Cali.

The pair intend to “experience Colombia’s rich heritage” in a visit that was considered a “faux-royal” trip following an invitation from the country’s vice president, Francia Márquez.

Royal expert Victoria Murphy told The Sun: “They have to have their own reasons for saying yes to this, and I think it’s a bit disconcerting compared to Nigeria.

“When they went to Nigeria it was very clear that it was an Invictus-focused trip, I think there was a clear purpose for this trip.

“And Meghan discovered that she was 43 percent Nigerian, so it made sense, and also Harry’s long run in African countries, and the charity work he’s already done on the continent.”

Claiming the tour was “vague”, she added: “It seems a bit random and yes, we are talking about themes that they are going to focus on, but it is quite vague about exactly how they are going to do it and why they did it. chose Colombia to highlight these themes.

“One of the things is the conference in November, for the safety of the children, obviously very important, but I’m still not sure what that has to do with them, they’re not going to the conference, it would make sense if they were.

“But they are not and I don’t think they will have any presence at the conference. I don’t understand why this is being mentioned in connection with their visit.”

The Archewell Foundation is recognized for its global leadership in promoting a safer online environment.

Harry and Meghan’s trip will aim to highlight the military community and female empowerment that are close to their hearts.

Harry and Meghan’s publicist LEAVES after 3 months – so why did 18 of their staff leave?

His visit will precede another conference in Colombia in November, which will address issues such as cyber-bullying, online exploitation and the impacts of these threats on mental health.

However, speaking about the difference between Harry and Meghan’s trips compared to the Royal Family’s overseas trips, Ms Murphy asked “what level of contribution” Archewell could actually have.

The royal expert said: “Members of the royal family have been to Colombia before, but of course when a royal goes, as the Duchess of Edinburgh did last November, they will represent a country.

“Sophie was there working on behalf of the UN. With Harry and Meghan traveling, it is difficult to see what level of contribution they or Archewell could have had.”

“What knowledge do they have about what is happening in the areas they visit?” she probed.

As for what the Sussexes hope to get out of the trip to Colombia, Ms. Murphy said she doesn’t understand the long term and how it fits into Archewell’s purpose.

And she believes the short term is just “vague.”

She stated: “What I don’t understand is how this fits into the long-term purpose and purpose of Archewell.

“In the short term, you can see that there will be a huge amount of tension during this tour, and they probably feel like they want to highlight these areas that they talked about, women’s empowerment, the military community, and all of that seems to be the intention. is positive.

“I think they hope to be able to clarify things that they think are important. But like I said, how much independent control they had over this program and how much knowledge they already have.

“I don’t understand the long term issue. I’ve always thought they work best when it’s very clear what they’re doing. Invictus is a good example of that.

“That seems a lot more vague.”

It turns out that Harry and Meghan’s chief of staff, John Kettler, left his role just days before the trip.

The senior staffer had only worked for the Duke and Duchess for three months, but was present at the couple’s important events.

Now, sources have revealed the “real reason” he threw in the towel ahead of the controversial tour.

The Sun has contacted Archewell for comment.

ROBERT JOBSON As Harry and Meghan’s chief adviser moves on after three months, what caused 18 members of staff to dramatically resign?

PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle are earning a reputation as tough taskmasters.

It appears that a notable number of your employees have struggled to meet the demands of their roles and have either quit or been pushed out – by mutual consent, of course.

The latest departure from the revolving door of aides is chief of staff Josh Kettler, who stepped down after just three months, citing a mutual agreement that the role was “not a good fit.”

The departure of the courteous American, who describes himself as an “experienced executive accelerator, organizer and confidant” on his LinkedIn profile, is a little embarrassing for the needy couple, as he was praised upon his arrival.

He was extremely visible during his short tenure, most notably spending three days with Harry at an Invictus Games event in Nigeria in May.

His exit also comes just before the couple’s planned “royal” trip to Colombia, adding to the challenges they face in managing their public image and charitable endeavors since stepping down as royals.

Of course, this isn’t the first time key members of the team have stepped away from the Sussexes.

An astonishing 18 employees have left to work for them in just a few years – nine since they moved to Montecito, California.

Many of their former Palace staff coined the term “Sussex Survivors Club” to describe themselves after they stopped working for the couple.

Some even half-jokingly believed that they suffered a form of post-traumatic stress.

After the last match in California, a source joked: “Maybe there should be a branch of the Sussex Survivors Club in Montecito.”

This golden couple, who tried to charm the world with their awakened crusade, just can’t seem to keep the team together.

But surely it can’t be their fault?

Evidence suggests otherwise, with departures occurring in large numbers and quickly.
