MEGHAN Markle’s acting career is dead despite Netflix wanting her “pound of flesh”, according to a royal expert.
Channel 5 royal correspondent Simon Vigar spoke on The Sun’s Royal Show about whether we could see former Suits star Meghan return to TV screens.

Meghan played paralegal Rachel Zane on the hit legal show for seven seasons, with her last episode of Suits airing in April 2018 – just weeks later, on May 19, 2018, she became Duchess of Sussex.
Simon told The Sun’s royal correspondent Matt Wilkinson: “I think the media career or the relaunch of the film career as an actress, I think it’s a long shot because you’ll never be able to see her in character, now you’ll see Meghan , the Duchess, so this is difficult.
“How can you believe she is anyone other than the person we know so well?
“And from what I understand, with Netflix, they still have an agreement about who will want their pound of flesh.
“I think Harry still has a book deal where he said he wouldn’t talk about the past anymore.
“Well, let’s see how this goes.
“Because they’re going to want their piece of meat too in terms of the things he says he’s withheld.”
Simon added that Meghan is currently busy raising Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibettwo, but she may have more free time for projects when they are at school.
He added: “That’s clearly the priority, but once they’re at school and doing more things, and needing less constant care, I’m sure their media careers will grow.
“It’s hard to see that in fiction, but as an actress, I can see that more in reality.”
The Duchess of Sussex has announced that she will release a new Netflix series in “cooking, gardening and friendship”.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly have two untitled nonfiction projects in production.
The shows are part of the “creative partnership” that Archewell Productions signed with the streaming giant in 2020.

A source told the Mail: “It’s a lifestyle and culinary brand called American Riviera Orchard.
“The brand aims to coincide with the launch of a new cooking show for Netflix.
“Meghan will make and sell products like jams. And at some point there will be a book and a blog, etc.”
The brand will sell household products such as cookbooks, food and kitchenware.
A trademark application by ‘American Riviera Orchard’ showed that Meghan could sell cutlery, decanters, legume spreads and even napkin rings.
This follows Meghan, 42, shutting down her former lifestyle page, The Tig, in April 2017, shortly after she started falling in love Prince Harry.
