MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry have been “beset by problems” since leaving the royal family and moving to the US, according to a royal expert.

Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive, Richard Palmer shared how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have “struggled” in recent months.

He told The Sun’s royal editor Matt Wilkinson: “I think they struggled.

“Initially, of course, as so many people have pointed out, Meghan was treated as a breath of fresh air, a fantastic addition to the family by the British media, but there has been a change.

“I think the US media is bored with them continually complaining about the way they were treated.

“And essentially said ‘ok, okay, we’ve heard this story, we don’t want to hear about it anymore.’

“‘If you are Americans, essentially, if you are basically yourselves here, then you need to show us that you are entrepreneurial people who are creating new lives for yourself here.’

‘“What do you have to show us?’”

This follows Meghan’s £18 million deal with Spotify which ended last June after her Archetypes podcast produced just 12 episodes.

It was said that the programs did not meet “productivity requirements”.

Richard, who is a royal correspondent for the Daily Express, added: “I think they are really beset by problems.

“They took one step forward, two steps comes back all the time.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as senior royals in 2020 and now live in California with their two children, Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibettwo.

Since then, they’ve criticized royal life in Prince Harry’s memoir Spare, Oprah Winfrey’s bombshell chat and the Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan.

We recently shared how Harry is fighting to stop the release of his immigration documents after concerns were raised about his visa application.

Your Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Questions Have Been Answered

The right-wing group Heritage Foundation is suing the US government over access to the paperwork.

Heritage argues that Harry’s admission in his Spare memoir that he took cocaine should disqualify him from immigrating to the US.

The foundation said Harry must have lied in his immigration forms – or received special treatment.

I think the US media is bored with them continually complaining about the way they were treated.

But US government lawyers said Harry could have invented his cocaine bomb to “sell books“.

The Sun revealed that Harry backdated his US residency to the exact day he and Meghan were kicked out of their UK base.

Royal experts suggested Harry was making a point of being “deeply hurt” by the order to leave Frogmore Cottage.
