During one segment, the Duchess of Sussex, 42, said she has reached out to Sophie “over the years for advice.”

She also said that her friend “used to send me little meditations during my pregnancy” and voice notes “of encouragement.”

But Sophie, who was previously married to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, played down her friendship with Meghan.

Asked about Meghan in an interview with The timesshe said, “I know her… but we haven’t spent much time together.”

In the episode, titled ‘Good wife/bad wife, good mother/bad mother’, Meghan described Sophie as a “dear friend”.

The pair met nine years ago at Toronto Fashion Week when Meghan was starring in Suits.

Introducing her special guest, Meghan said: “She knows what it’s like to be a mother and a partner.

“And specifically a mother and a partner in the public eye, and also how the crushing guilt of expectations can become the guilt that we feel as mothers or as women, in general, is self-imposed.”

She also said that Sophie spent a few days in the city with her kids, which was “exciting,” and they and the kids played by the pool.

Meghan said: “We dove into the water and then threw in some pool floats.

“By the way, the inflatable pizza slice proved to be a big hit, which I found online.

“And I’m kidding, the one without pepperoni was a few dollars less than the one with pepperoni.

“And yes, I’m still talking about the inflatable pizza, pool float.”

It comes after reports that Meghan was unable to find a CEO for her lifestyle brand despite weeks of searching.

She spent the last five weeks interviewing for the position at American Riviera Orchard – which is a new website focusing on home, food and possessions.

A source close to the former actress in California said: “The initial search for the CEO has been unsuccessful so far.”

Filming for the brand began at Meghan and Harry’s Californian mansion last week.

While the bump in the road comes as a shock to Meghan, the failure to find a clue could lead to her striking a deal with Netflix.

It is understood she has entered into negotiations with the streaming giant to establish a commercial partnership with the brand.

The source added: “She would run the lifestyle business with Meghan, developing products such as spin-offs of her show.

“If a partnership is agreed, it is likely that Netflix will install its own CEO to manage operations.”

Last month, Meghan treated fans to a first look at a vintage-style clip on Instagram.

Industry experts said the site will focus on home, food, gardening and lifestyle products.

A source told the Mail: “It’s a lifestyle and culinary brand called American Riviera Orchard.

“The brand aims to coincide with the launch of a new cooking show for Netflix.

“Meghan will make and sell products like jam. And at some point there will be a book and a blog, etc.”
