The Prince of Wales41 years old, is in the groom’s entourage and will be a concierge during the ceremony, which will be attended by 400 people.

Kate, the princess of Wales42 years old, who is undergoing cancer treatment, is not expected to attend.

King Charles – who is also undergoing chemotherapy – is also unlikely to be present, despite being Hugh’s godfather.

AVOID ANY TENSION

It is understood that to avoid any tension, Prince Harry, 39, and Meghan Markle, 42, will not attend, reports the Sunday Times.

Hugh – known as “Hughie” to his friends – is said to be close to the Duke of Sussex.

The businessman and aristocrat – who is also godfather to William’s son and second in line to the throne, Prince George – has a fortune of £10.1 billion.

He inherited title and control of his family’s assets following his father’s death in 2016.

His property company, Grosvenor Group, owns around 300 acres of land in Mayfair and Belgravia, as well as major city center developments such as Liverpool’s ONE shopping centre, and the duke is part of the royal’s inner circle.

He and Olivia were introduced by mutual friends in 2021 and reportedly insisted on a “strict no-gift policy” for guests.

Following the wedding ceremony, guests will enjoy a reception at nearby Eaton Hall on the Grosvenors’ 11,000-acre estate.

Harry and Meghan’s relationship “may hide unpleasant surprises”, says expert

A second, smaller reception will be held there for family and close friends.

Hugh, who often keeps a low profile, said he is “incredibly excited” about the wedding but admitted it will be “disheartening”.

It is understood he wanted Harry and Meghan at his wedding, but ultimately decided not to, due to disagreement between the two princes.

A friend of the princes previously told the Sunday Times: “It’s incredibly sad that it has come to this.

The list includes showbiz and sports stars, musicians, independent tycoons and those who have inherited a family fortune.

The top of the Young Rich list is worth more than £10 billion and number 40 is worth £56 million. See who’s worth what:

  1. Duke of Westminster £10.127 billion
  2. Lady Charlotte Wellesley £2.2 billion
  3. Herman Narula £780 million
  4. Fawn and India Rose James £750m
  5. Ben Francis £725 million
  6. Thomas Hartland-Mackie £684m
  7. Oliver and Alexander Kent-Braham £455 million
  8. Ayman Rahman and Fateha Begum £404 million
  9. Sir Lewis Hamilton £350 million
  10. Ed Sheeran £340 million

“Hugh is one of the few close friends of William and Harry who has maintained strong ties and a line of communication with both of them.

“He wishes they could come together and fix things, but realizes that’s unlikely to happen before the wedding.”

Sources claimed the Sussexes received a ‘save the date’ card but decided attending would be “too awkward”.

The day before the ceremony, Charles, William and Queen Camilla will travel to France for events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings.
