A ROYAL expert says it’s “so sad” that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry won’t let King Charles see Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s daughter Lilibet will turn three on Tuesday but has barely met her family in the UK, including her grandfather.

Royal author Phil Dampier said the anniversary celebrations are marked by an “underlying sadness” due to the “schism” dividing the family.
Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive, he shared: “It’s amazing that she’s already three, but there’s an underlying sadness, of course, because of the disagreement that the King isn’t seeing his grandchildren.
“I think he’s only met Lilibet possibly once and Archie only a few times and they’re seventh and eighth in line to the throne, growing up in California on the west coast of America, with American accents and you just don’t see them. . ”
Phil added that it’s also “very sad” for Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, who has reportedly never met his grandchildren or even son-in-law. Prince Torment.

Phil said it will be “fascinating to watch these kids grow up” and added: “When they get a little older they will start asking questions ‘how did we get to this situation’, ‘how come I don’t see my grandparents’, ‘how is it that I have nothing to do with the royal family?’
“When they get older, that’s probably when the problem will start and it will be difficult for them.”
The Duke of Sussex left the royal family four years ago and has since made a series of shocking allegations about his brother.
Their relationship only worsened after the Sussexes made a series of accusations against the Royal Family in their Netflix docuseries.
Harry and William have not been seen together for years after their relationship deteriorated further.
Phil, author of Royally Suited: Harry and Meghan in Their Own Words, said Meghan and Harry may release a photo in honor of Princess Lilibet’s birthday.
He continued: “It wouldn’t surprise me if Harry and Meghan published a photo.

“I mean, they’re very good at posting photos of their families when they want to make a point or want to show us that they’re just as important as the rest of the royals.”
Last month, Prince Harry visited the UK for a three-day visit, but did not see King Charles or brother Prince William.
A spokesperson for Harry said the reason for the lack of meeting was due to King Charles’ busy schedule.
They said: “Unfortunately it will not be possible due to Her Majesty’s full programme.
“The Duke, of course, understands his father’s schedule and various other priorities and looks forward to seeing him soon.”
