MEGHAN Markle has been criticized for having “diva qualities” by former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond.

The royal expert spoke about her views on the royal family on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive and revealed her feelings towards the Duchess of Sussex, 42.

Speaking to Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson, Jennie was asked which member of the family was the “biggest diva” from her 14 years working as a Royal Correspondent.

She replied: “Well, is Meghan royal? I don’t know.

“I think historically, probably Princess Margaret was a real diva.

“And I’m afraid to say that I think Meghan had some diva qualities.”

Former Hollywood star Meghan was previously called a “Difficult Duchess” by palace insiders as her demands became too much for aides, according to reports.

This follows The Sun exclusively revealing that the late Queen warned Prince Harry about Meghan’s behavior and attitude before the wedding.

Meghan initially wanted a tiara with emeralds, according to royal sources.

But the future The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were unhappy when their first choice was not facilitated.

According to Harry’s bombshell memoir Spare, he claimed that the Queen’s dressmaker, Angela Kelly, “put up obstacles.”

Royal author Robert Jobson revealed that Harry told staff before the wedding: “What Meghan wants, Meghan gets.”

However, the Duchess of Sussex has been staunchly defended by friend and makeup artist Daniel Martin.

The guru began to cry as he insisted that the Duchess was not a diva.

He said: “What is so frustrating is that you hear these stories and there is no truth to them.

“It’s not the same person. In the years I’ve known her, in the years I’ve worked with her, she’s never had a diva fit, ever.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex sensationally stepped back as senior royals in 2020 and now live in a £12 million Californian mansion with Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.

Jennie also opened up about who she considered the “laziest” royals, from her own experience.

She revealed: “The laziest one was probably Andrew.”
Meanwhile, she added that “without a doubt,” the hardest working royal is the Princess Royal.

Jennie explained: “I mean, she’s amazing, absolutely amazing.

“She’s very difficult to work with, but she can do it.”

We recently shared how Prince Andrew spends all day “watching TV in a dark room” like a prisoner in his “dilapidated” home.

The Duchess of Sussex specifically asked for atomizers to fill the chapel before Royal Wedding guests arrived because she didn’t “like the smell,” a source claimed.

House staff were reportedly surprised by his request because the chapel was the Queen’s regular place of worship and even contained the Royal Vault.

A source told the Daily Mail: “Apparently Meghan didn’t like the smell of the chapel, which as expected is a little musty. But it’s not unpleasant at all.

“Meghan wanted the team to walk around with these atomizers, like spritzer guns, and spray perfume into the chapel before anyone arrived.”

According to royal biographers Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand in Finding Freedom, Meghan secured £130 Diptyque Baies diffusers for the big day.

They were said to be supplied by the brand and approved by the palace, leaving the chapel smelling like roses, infused with fruity tones of red berries and currant leaves.

The revelation comes as King Charles, 75, has redoubled his efforts to oust the disgraced duke – with insiders branding the standoff a “siege of the Royal Lodge”.

Andrew has now become a “prisoner of himself pride“as he refuses to give in to his brother’s wishes, a friend said The times.

But that prison is falling apart because the Royal Lodge “needs extensive repairs”, estimated to cost around £400,000 a year.

The stately home is in Windsor State Park, Berks, several miles south of Windsor Castle.

Andrew, 64, moved after the Queen Mother’s death in 2002.

Inside Prince Andrew’s ‘ruined’ Royal Lodge

The disgraced Duke of York resides at the £30million Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, Berkshire – at least for now.

King Charles redoubled his efforts to expel the duke – with insiders calling the impasse a “siege of the Royal Lodge”.

Despite his divorce from Sarah Ferguson in 1996, Prince Andrew lives with his ex-wife on a country estate.

Prince Andrew’s royal residence, with its eye-catching white exterior, has 30 bedrooms with plenty of space for entertaining, plus seven bedrooms spread across the top two floors.

The Duke of York is said to spend all day “watching TV in a dark room”, like a prisoner in his “ruined” house.

The Royal Lodge is said to be “in need of extensive repairs”, estimated to cost around £400,000 a year.

The monarch is said to be increasingly frustrated by André’s refusal to look after the colossal mansion.

Andrew is said to have promised King Charles he would take care of her expensive repairs – despite having no apparent source of income.
