BITTER Meghan Markle will never set foot in this country again and she wants nothing to do with the Royal Family, a royal expert has said.

Broadcaster and royal correspondent Sarah Hewson said there were a number of reasons preventing the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from being welcomed back into the royal family.

The royal expert made the comments while appearing on The Sun’s popular Royal Exclusive programme.

Part of Meghan’s reluctance to come to the UK was a clash of lifestyles, especially the royal’s love of hunting.

Sarah said: “I’m not sure Meghan is someone who wants to go chasing and shooting.

“When she first went to Sandringham with Prince Harry and some of his friends and they were going out for a photo shoot, she wasn’t impressed at all.

“I don’t know if Balmoral would be your first choice. “

Then there were the well-known tensions between Prince William and Princess Kate and the Sussexes that made Sarah think Harry and Meghan wouldn’t even be welcome even if they came to this side of the pond.

And the situation became complicated due to the fact that Kate was undergoing cancer treatment.

Sarah said: “I don’t see any signs of a thaw – and it’s not really a priority for Wales right now.

“One of the things they really want to focus on is keeping things calm, keeping stress levels low during the Princess of Wales’ recovery.

“I really don’t think a reunion with Harry and Meghan will solve her stress level.

Meghan Markle will NEVER return to Britain – she knows she is so unpopular, expert reveals

“It’s just not their focus.”

But Sarah added: “We are always told that the king’s door is always open for Harry and Meghan.

“I don’t see an actual physical invitation being issued, but if they asked [to come and visit] it would be very difficult for the king to say no.

“He doesn’t want that distance with his son and he certainly doesn’t want that barrier between him and his grandchildren.

“He only met Lilibet once and Archie only a few times.

“This is very, very sad.

“Obviously geography plays a role in this, we won’t see the King getting on a plane and heading to California to see them.”

But she added that indications were that Meghan had “no desire” to come to the UK.

Sarah said: “All the signs around Meghan are that she really doesn’t want to set foot in this country again.

“Prince Harry came back for the service at St Paul’s to celebrate 10 years of the Invictus Games and they were leaving on their tour and Meghan went into Heathrow airport and came back straight away, she didn’t come to the UK.”

The royal commentator, however, said the whole situation was a “very disgraceful mess.”

Sarah said: “It’s sad. Mistakes were made along the way on both sides.

“But until there is… trust, that’s the fundamental issue here, that these conversations that they have are going to end up on a breakfast show or a documentary or in the pages of a book, those conversations simply can’t happen.”
