PRINCE William is keeping Princess Kate and her family “well away from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry,” according to former royal butler Paul Burrell.
Paul, who has worked for the Royal Family for 21 years, said there is currently “no way” the Sussexes can make peace with the Wales family.

Speaking with Closer, Paul said: “The door to Adelaide Cottage is closed – and there is no entry for Meghan and Harry.
“William knows Harry can’t be trusted and doesn’t want any more trouble in his family.”
The relationship between the two couples has been strained in recent years after Meghan and Harry made a series of bombshell claims about the royal family.
The Duke of Sussex visited the UK in May for a three-day trip, but refused to meet King Charles or his older brother.
A spokesperson for Prince Harry said he wanted to see King Charles but was unable to due to the monarch’s “full schedule” – but made no mention of seeing his brother.
This follows Harry attacking the royal family in his bombshell Spare memoir, where he claims William ‘attacked’ him in a row over Meghan.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also revealed details about the royal family in their Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan.
In the Netflix series, Harry said: “I think for a lot of people in the family, especially men, there can be a temptation or a desire to marry someone who fits the mold, as opposed to someone who you are destined to be with. .
“The difference between making a decision with your head or your heart.”
Viewers said his comments could have been interpreted as mocking his brother’s wife, Princess Kate – and reportedly left Wills furious.
To the shock of many, it also told stories of Meghan’s “shocking” first meeting with Princess Kate and Harry criticizing her father.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex now live in California with Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, after stepping down as senior royals in 2020.
Prince William is said to be “fiercely protective” of Princess Kate, who is currently undergoing preventive cancer treatment.
Old BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond revealed that the Prince of Wales is “stubborn” when it comes to his family and looking after his wife.

Jennie told Fabulous that they remain a “strong couple”, and William is dedicated to his “best friend” Kate and his health, following his shock cancer diagnosis.
She said: “William has never been more protective of his wife and children than he is now.
“He is taking special care to prioritize her health and the well-being of his young family, even in the face of some people saying he should take on more public commitments.
“William can be stubborn, and perhaps never more so than when it comes to his family and his privacy.

The first signs of friction emerged after William was introduced to Meghan when she was staying at Kensington Palace.
Once she returned home to Canada, William and Harry sat down for a sibling chat.
He knew Harry was already crazy about her, but it was claimed he advised him to take it slow.
The younger prince reportedly didn’t take the advice very well, with a royal source saying he “went crazy.”
Then, in June 2019, Harry and Meghan officially split from the charity they shared with William and Kate.
The Royal Foundation will be split between the Sussexes and the Cambridges, while the couples focus on their own separate charitable efforts.
Prince William and Prince Harry first established the Royal Foundation in 2009, before Kate joined two years later, shortly after their engagement was announced.
The trio often appeared together at events and the Foundation has had huge success with projects such as the Invictus Games for injured veterans and the Heads Together mental health campaign.
The Royal Foundation said the decision was made after completing a review of its structure – but added that the two couples would continue to work together in the future.
Harry and Meg lived near Kate and Wills on the Kensington Palace estate, but moved to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor before baby Archie was born.
The move further fueled rumors of a fallout.
Harry also hinted in his ITV documentary “Harry and Meghan, An African Journey” that he and his brother had grown apart.
In 2021, Harry and Meghan gave their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, where Harry accused his father of holding him back financially.
Harry then flew back to the UK to join William in unveiling a statue of his mother, Princess Diana, in the grounds of Kensington Palace. But sources said William did not want to attend the memorial amid the fallout.
In 2022, shortly before the death of her grandmother, the Queen, sources claimed that Kate acts as a “peacemaker” between the siblings.
Harry claimed his brother “knocked him to the ground” during an argument about Meghan, in his memoir.
In Spare, Harry said William labeled Meghan “rude” and “difficult” during a fight.
Harry claimed that William “grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and…knocked me to the ground.”
He said he was left with a visible injury to his back after the 2019 argument at Nottingham Cottage, in the grounds of Kensington Palace, where he lived at the time.
In January this year, Harry flew to be with Charles following the shock of the monarch’s cancer diagnosis.
Harry flew back to the US the next day – without seeing Wills.
In May, he visited the United Kingdom for a three-day visit without seeing King Charles or Prince William.
“I think it’s a great tribute to Catherine, and their love, that he is so completely focused on her well-being.
“They both must have reflected on their wedding vows, especially the words ‘in sickness and in health’.
“It is often difficult times that make a married even stronger.”
Jennie added of their relationship: “She is his rock, his linchpin and his best friend.
“And their marriage is solid and worth celebrating a little.”
