MEGHAN and Harry “betrayed the Megxit deal and caused eternal damage to the royals”, criticized Tom Bower.

Royal biographer Bower said the Sussexes used their royal titles to gain publicity, despite saying they just wanted privacy.

Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive program, he said Harry and Meghan have been “treacherous and disloyal”.

Bower said: “They betrayed and ignored the agreement they made.

“Supposedly they were going to California for privacy and to leave the royal family. They did exactly the opposite.”

Bower also said the Sussexes intend to “cash in on their notoriety” – and the royals should have seen this coming.

He said: “I think Meghan and Harry have had an extremely negative impact on the royal family – the damage has been eternal.

“The tragedy is that they tried so hard to help Meghan. After all, Charles accompanied her to the wedding at St. George’s Chapel.

“The Queen has appointed more than half a dozen people to look after Meghan and help her navigate the royal family’s path.

“But they could never win. We now know, in hindsight, that Meghan never intended to stay.

“The guest list for her wedding showed that her true ambition was to be a star in California.

“Harry’s friends have been excluded from the guest list for tonight’s dinner.”

Bower added: “So we know that the schedule was something the royal family was never able to control.

“This is why their reaction when the attack occurred through the Oprah Winfrey and Netflix interviews was weak and self-defeating.

“They should have been much more aggressive in their response to assert their own credibility.

“After that came the publication of Harry’s autobiography, Spare, which peddled even more lies and problems.

“It was a global bestseller because the world was fascinated by the fact that two royals were so treacherous and disloyal.

“They’ve never had this in their lives before. Interest in them is now waning.

“People are beginning to see the truths I exposed two or three years ago in my book Revenge.

“The truth is that they are narcissists and intent on self-glorification to profit from their notoriety.”

Bower said: “At the time, no one wanted to believe it could be that bad.”

The royal biographer also called Prince Andrew’s last public performance a “catastrophic mistake.”

In February this year, the Duke of York was among several royals who attended St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle for the Thanksgiving service held in honor of the late King Constantine of Greece.

Andrew was seen beaming as he led the way in a rare public appearance as mourners arrived for the service.

Queen Camilla arrived separately, meaning the Duke of York stepped forward to introduce more minor royals, including Princess Anne, her daughter Zara and her husband Mike Tindall.

His ex-wife Sarah Ferguson was by his side as they marched to St George’s Chapel.

Bower said: “André should be invisible. I blame the king for not being more authoritarian.

“Charles should have ordered Prince Andrew to stay out of public view.”

“That front row at the memorial service was a catastrophic mistake – Andrew pushed himself to the front.”
