KING Charles clashed with Prince William after he refused to stop flying his entire family in a helicopter, it has been claimed.
Charles, 75, made his son sign a “waiver” taking responsibility for threatening the succession by flying with Kate and the children, it is said.

The monarch “echoed” the concerns of the late Queen – who we revealed urged William to stop flying after his helicopter became stuck due to a fault – following her cancer diagnosis.
William, 42, who described flying a helicopter as “better than anything”, has reportedly rejected the pleas and continues to ignore an unwritten rule banning royals from flying together.
The RAF-trained pilot has now flown Kate, 42, George, 11, Charlotte, nine, and Louis, five, the 115 miles from Kensington Palace, London, to their family home in Anmer Hall, Norfolk.
He also flew for the East Anglia Air Ambulance for two years and in 2021 borrowed a £5.4 million helicopter to keep his flying hours up to gain his pilot’s license.
A flight disaster for the Cambridges would put Prince Harry, 39, on the throne.
Royal author Robert Jobson wrote: “After being diagnosed with cancer, King Charles, perhaps reminded of his own mortality, repeated his late mother’s concerns.
“When William refused to stop flying with his family, Charles insisted he sign a formal document acknowledging the risks involved and taking full responsibility for his actions.”
In ‘Catherine, Princess of Wales: A Biography’, Jobson added: “It would be small consolation, of course, for an unspeakable tragedy, let alone for the perspective of King Harry and Queen Meghan.”
The king and his mother’s concerns stem from the helicopter scares.
Its Sikorsky S-76 suffered a failure in August 2021 and a flight was aborted.
Sophie Wessex had a near miss in 2017, and in 2019, Camilla, then Duchess of Cornwall, came within 60 meters of an aircraft in the Queen’s helicopter before later having to avoid a glider.
Kensington Palace declined to comment on the exemption claims or whether Wills was still traveling with his family.
