PRINCE Harry no longer has any ties to the UK as his relationship with William becomes irreparable, says a royal expert.

The Duke of Sussex, 39, has severed all remaining ties with Britain – and apparently with his family – by declaring “New Country/State Generally Resident” on US documents.

Simon Vigar told The Sun’s Royal Exclusive program there is no going back when it comes to Harry’s relationship with older brother Wills – after years of distorted digs and comments made at the royals by the Duke.

Speaking to The Sun’s royal editor Matt Wilkinson, Vigar also claims that Harry’s lack of participation in royal duties is due to distancing.

He said: “Prince Harry doesn’t have a pigeonhole or a desk at St James’s Palace for correspondence, but I think that reflects the detachment.

“The big break with William, there doesn’t seem to be any repair to that relationship, unfortunately.

“And with the king, obviously he saw him briefly, very briefly in February, and not since.

“But you know I hope they get in touch by phone.”

Simon went on to say that the rift between Harry and his now estranged family was “completely avoidable”, however, “a lot” has now happened to rebuild bridges.

He added: “It’s a shame. I think this is all very sad and completely avoidable.

“But a lot has been said and done now. It happens in a lot of families, but not on this kind of public scale.

“I think with William and Harry in particular, too much has been said for it to ever go back to the way it was, unfortunately.”

Harry, in the UK you were somebody – now you’re just another Brit living in America, says Arthur Edwards

In official files, which previously documented his primary residence as the United Kingdom, Harry has since listed his £11 million California mansion as his primary residence.

It was revealed that the exiled prince changed his official status to US resident on the same day that his wife Meghan, 42, and himself were evicted from Frogmore Cottage.

King Charles ordered him to return the keys to his UK base when he made the rare transatlantic trip.

The Sun understands that Prince William supported the monarch’s decision to deprive his younger brother of access to the property.

It turns out that The Sun’s royal photographer, Arthur Edwards, said that Harry was someone in the UK, but is now just another Brit living in America.

He told how Charles’ youngest son was “so loved” and can’t believe Harry made the bloody decision to become a nobody.

He said: “You are using all your knowledge of the Royal Family to humiliate them in the best way possible and that is not right.

“If you want to go back to America, that’s fine. But you know that in Britain you were somebody.

A timeline of Prince Harry and William’s ‘rivalry’

BROTHERS “at war”

In 2018, the Sun told how the “simmering tension” began when William questioned the speed of Harry and Meghan’s engagement.

The first signs of friction emerged after William was introduced to Meghan when she was staying at Kensington Palace.

Once she returned home to Canada, William and Harry sat down for a sibling chat.

He knew Harry was already crazy about her, but it was claimed he advised him to take it slow.

The younger prince reportedly didn’t take the advice very well, with a royal source saying he “went crazy.”

Then, in June 2019, Harry and Meghan officially split from the charity they shared with William and Kate.

The Royal Foundation will be split between the Sussexes and the Cambridges, while the couples focus on their own separate charitable efforts.

Prince William and Prince Harry first established the Royal Foundation in 2009, before Kate joined two years later, shortly after their engagement was announced.

The trio often appeared together at events and the Foundation has had huge success with projects such as the Invictus Games for injured veterans and the Heads Together mental health campaign.

The Royal Foundation said the decision was made after completing a review of its structure – but added that the two couples would continue to work together in the future.

Harry and Meg lived near Kate and Wills on the Kensington Palace estate, but moved to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor before baby Archie was born.

The move further fueled rumors of a fallout.

Harry, 39, also hinted in his ITV documentary “Harry and Meghan, An African Journey” that he and his brother had grown apart.

This came after Prince Philip called Meghan “DOW”, after the Duchess of Windsor – the American divorcee who led Edward VIII to abdicate.

And he warned the late queen to be “cautious” with Harry’s then-fiancée, claims a royal author.

Ingrid Seward revealed in new book My Mother And I that Prince Philip felt it was “strange… how much Meghan reminded him of the Duchess of Windsor”.

In 2021, Harry and Meghan gave their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, where Harry accused his father of holding him back financially.

Harry then flew back to the UK to join William in unveiling a statue of his mother, Princess Diana, in the grounds of Kensington Palace. But sources said William did not want to attend the memorial amid the fallout.

In 2022, shortly before the death of her grandmother, the Queen, sources claimed that Kate acts as a “peacemaker” between the siblings.

Last year, Harry claimed his brother “knocked him to the ground” during an argument about Meghan.

In his book Spare, Harry said William called Meghan “rude” and “difficult” during a fight.

Harry claimed that William “grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and…knocked me to the ground.”

He said he was left with a visible injury to his back after the 2019 argument at Nottingham Cottage, in the grounds of Kensington Palace, where he lived at the time.

In January this year, Harry flew to be with Charles following the shock of the monarch’s cancer diagnosis.

Harry flew back to the US the next day – without seeing Wills.

“There you are just another celebrity. That’s all you are.

“And that’s fine, you have your nice big house, your big cars and your private planes.

“But you still have to worry about where you’re going to park, you didn’t have to worry about that here.

“You never worried about getting tickets to the World Cup final, you didn’t have to worry about that.

“You could do whatever you wanted here, you were so loved. Well, you know, good luck, but I wish you were back here in person.

“I think you had a lot to give to this country and unfortunately that is no longer the case.”

VISA LINE

It turns out Harry is fighting to stop the release of immigration documents after concerns were raised about his visa application.

Their affair was sparked after Harry claimed in his memoir Spare that he had consumed cocaine, marijuana and magic mushrooms.

The Heritage Foundation argues that releasing the documents will prove whether Harry lied about his past drug use on his visa application.

If the duke were dishonest, he could violate US federal law and lose his immigration status.

But US government lawyers argued that Harry’s claims about drugs in the explosive book are “not proof” that he actually took them.

And the Department of Homeland Security, which oversees immigration, said making Harry’s documents public would violate his privacy.

DHS also stated that Harry still has a right to privacy, even though he is a celebrity.

Judge Carl Nichols asked authorities to turn over the documents in March, saying their privacy argument was “insufficiently detailed.”

Heritage Foundation attorney Samuel Dewey previously accused the US government of “providing special treatment to celebrities” to enter the US.

On Monday, a US ambassador said Harry would not be deported from the US regardless of the outcome of the trial.

‘It’s inevitable’

ROYAL photographer Arthur Edwards told The Sun it’s ‘very sad’ but inevitable’

The long-time snapper said: “It appears he has backdated his US residency to when he and Meghan left these shores.

“It’s yet another sign that he has indeed severed ties with the royal family. It’s sad, but you know, I suppose it’s inevitable.

“I always said I thought Prince Harry would one day come back here and work for the royal family.

“It now seems pretty certain that he has decided that America is his home and that is where he wants to stay.”

He continued: “One day he may even apply for citizenship. This way, he will have to give up his title – the Duke of Sussex – so he probably won’t get that far.

“But yes, it is very sad because Harry was a very important part of the royal family here and was very loved.

“Everywhere we went, he was just loved. He was absolutely charming, especially with children.

“He was fantastic, but that probably hasn’t changed. Obviously he doesn’t want to spend any more time here.”

Edwards also said that Harry only seems to care about awards and baseball games.

He said: “Harry is approaching 40 now – he’s not a child anymore.

“Instead of going to schools and charities and helping young people with mental health, he goes to award ceremonies, baseball games and polo matches.

“I don’t think it’s real life. I think he was brilliant here and gave a lot.”
