PRINCESS Eugenie’s son Ernest turns one today and will be “spoiled” by his grandparents the Duke and Duchess of York, an expert claims.

The daughter of Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew paid tribute to his second son, affectionately nicknamed “Ernie”.

She wrote: “One year to you, my dear Ernest. Happy birthday!! We all love you so much, especially your huge smile that you give the world… but you always save an extra special one for Mom.”

The post was touching, especially Eugenie normally keeps her family life pretty private and rarely shares photos of her youngest son, who was born on May 30, 2023.

Princess Eugenie, 34, and her British marketing executive husband Jack Brooksbank, 38, have two sons together, three-year-old August and Ernest.

Royal author Phil Dampier told Fabulous that little Ernie will likely celebrate in style.

He shared: “Royal children tend to receive very expensive gifts during their youth, including horses, fishing rods, rifles and mini cars, sometimes provided by manufacturers.

“They are very spoiled, while at Christmas, for example, adults give each other gifts as a joke that are practically worthless!

“They like to give silly gifts, like scream pillows or singing fish wall hangings, based on the fact that they have everything in life. So they prefer jokes.

“As well as his parents, Eugenie and Jack, wanting only the best for him, he has loving grandparents on both sides, although Jack’s father sadly passed away a few years ago.

“The Duke and Duchess of York will want to give you the best and I’m sure that will include riding lessons, bicycles and expensive toys.

“Fergie, as we know, likes to spend money and she will give him generous gifts, believing that, as the children of Prince Andrew, her grandchildren should receive the best, just like the children of William and Kate, of Harry and Meghan.”

It’s time for Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie to step up now that Meg and Harry have left a hole in the royal family, says royal expert

Being part of the royal family can have some great perks – especially when it comes to your birthday.

That’s certainly true of Prince George, who has an £18,000 theater and a collection of classic cars, including a mini Aston Martin and an SUV gifted to him by his uncle Prince Harry.

Meanwhile, he once received a birthday “card” worth £120,000 on his first birthday.

In honor of the young prince’s celebrations, aviation company Hangar8 repainted a Bombardier Challenger private jet with a special salute.

It was covered with the message “Happy Birthday Prince George” and reportedly cost a six-figure sum, making it one of the most expensive ‘cards’ of all time.

But unfortunately, Prince George wasn’t able to see the plane in person – let alone take a ride in it.

Marketing director Janus Kamradt told Oxford Post Office: “It was a lot of fun, we are very proud of the design.

“Four painters spent a month on this and worked very, very hard.

“We can’t take it to Prince George at Kensington Palace, so we sent him a photo of his biggest birthday card.”

Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice’s close bond

Over the years, the Queen’s granddaughters have often spoken about their incredible bond and have described each other as “each other’s rock”.

Princess Beatrice was the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York – Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson – on August 8, 1988.

The Duchess gave birth at London’s Portland Hospital for Women and Children, and Beatrice’s full name was announced as Beatrice Elizabeth Mary almost two weeks later.

The couple – who divorced in 1996 – welcomed Princess Eugenie, whose full name is Eugenie Victoria Helena, on March 23, 1990.

As a result of their close bond, it’s no surprise that in 2018, when Eugenie headed to Windsor Castle for her royal nuptials, her bridesmaid, Beatrice, was firmly by her side.

When asked about her maid of honor by TLCPrincess Eugenie said: “I can’t think of anyone I would want by my side other than her.”

Unfortunately, the plane’s birthday greeting was short-lived as it was repainted after the royal’s birthday.

It’s the intention that counts.
