In her glamorous white dress and chic pink headdress, Zara Tindall looked like a star at a recent Buckingham Palace garden party.
Princess Anne’s daughter, 43, is quickly becoming the most stylish royal, having gone through a Kate Middleton-inspired glow, according to a fashion expert.
In recent years, Olympic rider Zara, who once looked most at home in her country sportswear, has undergone a style makeover.
Fashion expert Amber Graafland told Fabulous: “Having completely overhauled her image, her fun fashion choices have been replaced with clean lines, tailored dresses and fitted coats.
“Zara’s ‘glow’ comes down to meticulous planning and a few tips from Kate Middleton’s style notebook.”
New stylist
Zara has worked with stylist Annie Miall for the past four years and has been responsible for some of the royals’ most notable looks.
According to their website, their rates are £325 for an initial consultation, £575 for a first styling service and then £100 per hour for an ongoing service.
Annie has a background in human resources and leadership coaching, but gained fashion experience working on the factory floor and as a buyer.
She has been running her stylist company for over nine years and focuses on “friendliness and understanding.”
Annie was instrumental in helping Zara move into more figure-defining pieces from designers like Laura Green, who spent a decade working at Catherine Walker, which was Princess Diana’s favorite brand.
Amber added: “The outfit she wore to King Charles III’s coronation was a real turning point for Zara.
“Wearing a custom-made sky blue dress by favorite designer Laura Green with matching accessories, her outfit looked like it came straight from Kate’s closet.”
Getting rid of pantsuits
Over the years, Zara has transformed dark pantsuits and coats into her signature looks.
However, it seems the royal mother of three now often opts for brighter colors and more flattering outfits.
Amber added: “As we all know, Kate never puts a foot wrong when it comes to her fashion choices and no detail is left to chance.
“She knows exactly what flatters her figure, follows protocol and doesn’t deviate from her tried and trusted formula.
“And we can see that Zara is adopting the same tactics.
“Zara’s style has evolved into wearing precisely cut, form-fitting pieces that flatter her figure and translate well on camera.
“Adopting a refined new aesthetic, she’s seriously upped her accessories game.”
Abandoned ‘rebel’ piercings
Princess Anne’s daughter was once hailed as a “royal rebel” after revealing her tongue piercing to the rest of the royal family at Prince Charles’ 50th birthday party in 1998.
In an unearthed interview with Tatler magazine in 2011, Zara laughed off the claims, explaining that these days she’s more likely to be found cooking spaghetti bolognese for her husband, Mike Tindall.
“At least it didn’t come out of my nose or anything,” she said at the time.
It is reported that she got the piercing done at a tattoo parlor near her boarding school – Gordonstoun School in Moray, Scotland.
There were also rumors that the royal had a navel piercing.
Hair and makeup change
Countless stars swear by Charlotte Tilbury products, and it seems to be working for Zara too.
Royal makeup artist Alisia Ristevski shared how Charlotte’s Magic Cream helps give Zara her dewy glow.
We’ve also seen Zara change her hair from being frequently pulled back and occasionally tousled into soft waves, which accentuates her glowing skin.
More about Zara Tindall

Princess Anne turned down the Queen’s offer to give Zara a royal title after she was born, and horse-riding-loving Zara said she felt “lucky” the decision had been made.
Zara went to Beaudesert Park School in Stroud, Gloucestershire, Port Regis School in Dorset and then Gordonstoun School in Moray, Scotland.
She trained as a physiotherapist at Exeter University.
Zara is also an accomplished equestrian and Olympic silver medalist.
Daily workouts
Last year, Zara, who is mum to Mia, 10, Lena, five, and Lucas, three, opened up about her post-baby body.
She said: “Your muscles are doing nothing and stretching and creating something incredible, but it’s completely different.
I found that trying to get your body back to where it was was hard work.
Sporty Zara is said to exercise daily on an exercise bike and even ride her four horses “part time”.
Although she still participates in equestrian events, she prioritizes family life with Mike and their three children.
She explained: “I choose a lot [events] around the kids and the holidays and I try to be around as much as I can.
In the afternoon, she tries swimming or cycling as “extra exercise”.
Secret Hacks
Kate’s fashion team is known for using some major fashion tricks, from tactical underwear to heavy hemming on her skirt.
Amber shared how Zara has some fashion “tactics” up her sleeve.
The fashion expert explained: “Elegant yet practical, for her chic garden party, Zara added heel protectors to her shoes to prevent her from sinking into the ground, while a black umbrella shielded her from the rain, while also it seemed to be part of his look. .”
Don’t diet
While many celebrities follow strict diet regimes, Zara prefers home-cooked meals.
Typically breakfast consists of Greek yogurt and honey, while lunch is soup, sandwiches or egg toast.
The royal previously said: “I don’t diet, but I try to eat well, and not lots of carbs or sugary things.”
Repeating winning outfits
Just like Kate, Zara tends to repeat clothes that flatter her.
Amber shared her love of recycling clothes: “Zara’s garden party dress was first worn at Ascot in 2022.
“It seems that when it comes to style, no one is immune to the Kate Effect.”
