PRINCESS Kate’s devoted mother Carole Middleton gave a touching wave to her daughter at Ascot.
The royal, 42, sat out the prestigious event today as she bravely underwent cancer treatment.
Mum Carol, 69, looked elegant as she roamed the beautiful Berkshire grounds on day two of Royal Ascot.
Her sophisticated sky blue floral dress made her appear to glide effortlessly as she mingled with guests.
And an understated yet eye-catching light blue fascinator perfectly complemented the ensemble.
But, royal fashion fans noticed that the grandmother of seven was paying subtle homage to the Princess of Wales.
The glamorous look was by Self-Portrait, a designer often chosen by her daughter.
Her touching choice also bore a strong resemblance to the Elie Saab Resort collection dress that Kate stunned at Royal Ascot in 2019.
Both outfits featured chiffon sleeves and the same bow at the modest neckline.
It turns out that Carol was spotted sharing a moment with Prince William at today’s event.
The Prince of Wales, 41, spoke to Kate’s parents, along with Zara and Mike Tindall.
He arrived in a carriage with Queen Camilla alongside the Earl and Countess of Halifax as they were applauded by spectators.
It was the first time Her Majesty and the heir had teamed up since leading senior royals at the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey in March.
Wills smiled at fans as he entered the course in the traditional procession of carriages before today’s first race.
Mike Tindall and Prince William were seen laughing in each other’s arms.
The joyful appearance comes just days after Wills and Kate stood shoulder to shoulder with their children on the Buckingham Palace balcony at Trooping the Colour.
It was the Princess of Wales’s first public appearance on Saturday since Christmas – and husband Wills stood proudly by her side.
Kate had revealed the day before that she would be at the king’s birthday celebrations, but bravely opened up about experiencing “good days and bad days”.
The royal mother of three said she hopes to stay out of the public eye for “a few more months” as she continues to focus on her health.
Meanwhile, King Charles was in high spirits yesterday as he entered the first day of Royal Ascot in a horse-drawn carriage.
Her Majesty, who is also undergoing cancer treatment, was not present today but will attend tomorrow and Saturday.
