KING Charles was angry he couldn’t ride a horse at Trooping the Color this year, a royal expert says.
The monarch, 75, impressed royal fans by arriving at his official birthday celebration sitting next to Queen Camilla in a horse-drawn carriage.
However, one royal expert understood how “frustrated” Her Majesty was at being told not to ride horses – as she did last year.
The decision comes after the Palace confirmed that the King’s schedule is being modified to meet his treatment needs, on the advice of doctors.

Hello Magazine’s royal editor Emily Nash spoke to The Sun’s royal editor at the Royal Exclusive Show.
She told Matt Wilkinson: “We know enough about the King’s approach to his working life to understand that he would be really frustrated if he was told he couldn’t do something.
“Just look at the way he has been performing over the last few weeks, he has a very busy schedule although they are making adjustments to take into account his cancer treatment.
“But he did very well and, in the palace, he gave that royal salute for a long time, in an absolutely biblical atmosphere.
“There was a feeling at the end of the balcony moment where it seemed like the Queen was rushing him back inside, as if to say ‘come on, now it’s time to go and rest’.”
Camilla had previously asked her husband to “slow down” but joked “he’s fine except he’s not going to slow down and he’s not going to do what he’s told.”
This was evident the day after Trooping the Color when Charles went out again to watch the polo.
“This is not someone who is going to sit on the couch with their feet up,” the Royal Editor added.
It follows a busy summer calendar for the king, who has already impressed royal fans with his graceful appearances at Buckingham Palace garden parties and Royal Ascot.
This week, Her Majesty took to the stage at the prestigious Berkshire event to congratulate the winners of Royal Ascot.
He led a carriage procession with Queen Camilla and later chatted with the jockeys while presenting several awards.
Earlier this month, Charles led D-Day celebrations – despite having been in hospital for cancer treatment less than 24 hours earlier.
SOLIDARITY AND SUPPORT
Meanwhile, a state visit by the Emperor and Empress of Japan is planned at the end of this month.
And, a trip of two or three weeks per Australia could be planned for busy King in October.
It comes after royal fans were ecstatic to see Princess Kate step out side-by-side with King Charles on the Buckingham Palace balcony at Trooping the Colour.
Her glamorous appearance marked her first since Christmas last year following abdominal surgery and a cancer diagnosis.
King Carlos braves torrential rain to salute troops

KING Charles braved torrential rain to salute troops in his first Trooping Color since his cancer diagnosis.
The monarch looked regal as he and Queen Camilla headed to his official birthday ceremony.
Meanwhile, Princess Kate was all smiles this morning as she made her first public appearance in months with Prince William and their children.
The princess was smiling from ear to ear as she waved to the crowd gathered at the mall to see her.
Kate, 42, looked stunning in white as she arrived at Trooping the Color.
The family toured the Mall in The Glass Coach, closely following the King and Queen Camilla.
Prince William, who looked dapper in his red Irish Guards uniform, proudly displaying medals on his chest, also smiled at the crowd.
It is the first time the princess has been seen at a royal event since Christmas Day.
She stood next to her father-in-law and the pair waved to thousands of well-wishers.
The day was marked by rain, but the rains couldn’t dim Kate’s glow as she smiled alongside Prince William and their children.
Fans watched in amazement as the mother of three played and laughed with Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six.
Sweet princes George and Louis waved both hands to the crowd with their sister by their side.
Everyone watched as more than 30 aircraft took to the skies as part of the celebrations – with the RAF Red Arrows paying a moving tribute to a fallen officer.
What is color trope?

Trooping the Color or ‘The King’s Birthday Parade’ is a military ceremony dating back to the early 18th century or earlier, when battalion colors (flags) were carried (or ‘trooped’) through the ranks so that they could be seen and recognized by those soldiers.
Since 1748, this parade has also marked the Sovereign’s official birthday.
The honor of trooping their color rotates between the five Foot Guards regiments and, this year, it goes to Company number 9 of the Irish Guards.
The Irish Guards were created by Queen Victoria in 1900 and provided almost 125 years of service to the nation.
This year marks the second Troop of the Color of Her Majesty’s reign.
The King took part in his first Trooping the Color in 1951, aged three, traveling in a carriage with his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, and his aunt, Princess Margaret. The King first took part in the parade as Colonel of the Welsh Guards in 1975.
