PRINCE William took his children to a Taylor Swift concert at Wembley last night to celebrate his 42nd birthday.
The Prince of Wales is believed to have taken Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six, to the show, alongside fellow royals Zara and Mike Tindall.
Sunday Times royal editor Roya Nikkhah said in an X post last night: “Nothing says happy 42nd birthday like taking the kids to a Taylor Swift Eras Tour concert.
“Prince William is celebrating his birthday tonight at Wembley Stadium with his children.”
The 34-year-old US pop megastar – an old friend of William’s – kicked off the London leg of her Eras Tour on Friday, with her football player boyfriend Travis Kelce in attendance.
It comes after William was spotted in the crowd at England’s dull 1-1 draw with Denmark in Germany on Thursday at Euro 2024.
Yesterday, wife Princess Kate posted a photo of her husband with their children on the beach, adding “We all love you, Daddy” to mark his birthday.
William previously shared the stage with Swift at Kensington Palace in 2013 to perform Bon Jovi’s Livin’ On A Prayer for a charity event.
He later said he obeyed “like a puppy” the singer’s request for him to join her.
He revealed in a 2021 interview: “I can’t believe I’m actually telling you this story – I show up and Jon Bon Jovi and Taylor Swift are at the event, which almost knocked me over.
“And then I went in, I met everyone, a lot of handshakes on those nights, a lot of chatting. I try to be charming and interactive.
“She puts her hand on my arm, looks me in the eye and says, ‘Come on, William – let’s sing’.”
He added that he was “cringing” just remembering the incident.
On Friday morning, the Buckingham Palace band performed a version of Swift’s 2014 hit Shake It Off to mark their arrival in the city on tour.
Among the other attendees at the concert were Labor leader Sir Keir Starmer and his wife Victoria.
The politician, who is currently ahead in the polls to take over as prime minister on July 4, posted on X: “’quick’ campaign pitstop”.
Swift told the crowd of 89,000: “Oh my God, London, look what you’ve done. What better way to spend a Friday night than in the most exciting city in the world?”
Friday night’s show was the first of three sold-out shows at Wembley, with the international sensation returning in August to perform five more.
