The Eras tour made millions of Brits ‘Swifties’, including Prince William.
Royal expert Phil Dampier says William’s “dad dancing” at Wembley at Taylor Swift’s concert on Friday reveals the royal is “relaxed” and “much happier” following Kate Middleton’s illness.
The Prince of Wales took Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, nine, to the show, alongside fellow royals Zara and Mike Tindall to celebrate his 42nd birthday.
Phil told Fabulous: “It was fantastic to see Prince William enjoying himself at Wembley the other night.
He added: “The fact that he was so relaxed and having fun was what really impressed me, and he obviously didn’t mind that he was being filmed.
“He must have known people would notice that.
“Nowadays everyone has a cell phone and they were filming it.
“I think the main thing this tells us is that for him to be so relaxed and happy, he must be a lot happier that Kate is on the road to recovery.”
Although Kate wasn’t in attendance at Taylor Swift, she did celebrate Trooping the Color earlier this month.
Princess Kate, 42, delighted royal fans when she appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace alongside the King, Queen, Prince William and their children.
Phil added: “Obviously we saw her at Trooping the Colour, which was a fantastic sign, and the fact that he can leave her at home, and can go out with the kids and have fun, shows that he’s really pleased with her progress. .”
Kate revealed in March that she was undergoing preventive cancer treatment and that she has not performed public duties since December.
At Taylor Swift’s concert, a selfie of Prince William and his children with the singer was posted on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ Instagram account.
The royal author added: “They were laughing and joking, looking very, very happy, and that is a fantastic sign that they are all much more relaxed about Kate’s condition and so this is spreading throughout the family and making with which the whole family relaxed.
“Because obviously it’s a concern for the children, as Kate said in that video that they need to know that she’s going to be okay.
“I think it’s a message that they are together and that William has an incredible burden on him.”
He added: “I think it really feels like a huge burden has been lifted off of him, and that’s a very, very encouraging sign, not just for Kate and the king, but also for William himself.”
To celebrate Williams’ birthday, wife Princess Kate posted a photo of her husband with their children on the beach, adding “We all love you, Daddy” to mark his birthday.
Phil said of the photo: “He’s being a good husband and a good father, you know.
“Obviously he has had to take on a lot more of the burden of looking after the children because Kate is recovering.
“But that fantastic photo we saw of them all jumping over that sand dune that Kate took in Norfolk, I think really summed it up.
“It was an absolutely happy photo and showed how relaxed they are.”
It comes after William was seen in the crowd at England’s dull 1-1 draw with Denmark in Germany on Thursday at Euro 2024 and he at Royal Ascot on Wednesday.
