The King and Queen couldn’t contain their fun when they were confronted by a pair of very playful cows.

Charles and Camilla were attending a show in Jersey showcasing the best produce the island has to offer – including a selection of seven heifers from the region’s best herds.

The royal couple were standing next to an enclosure containing the animals – which were given as a gift to the king – when the comical and slightly embarrassing situation unfolded.

While talking to the other participants, one of the heifers gets up on its hind legs and tries to mount the other – in full view of the Queen.

Camilla looks quite shocked at first, before smiling and laughing at the rather intimate display.

Charles looks at the unfolding events with a rather stern expression on his face, before breaking into an ironic smile, continuing his conversation and waving to someone.

The cheeky duo are part of a group of seven Jersey heifers from the island’s best herds, given as a gift to the king and destined to be taken back to Highgrove.

Scenes unfolded at the Jersey Expo Event at Weighbridge Place in St Helier, showcasing the best produce Jersey had to offer, including honey, ice cream, electric bikes and a range of local produce.

The event brings together the best of Jersey in one place, focusing on key areas of the island’s agriculture, fishing and aquaculture industries and the island’s journey to net zero emissions.

Things became much more serious later on when Charles and Camilla were removed from combat amid a security concern.

Both were taken on a short trip to a nearby hotel.

But several minutes later they re-emerged and continued with the tour for the King’s Color performance outside the Pomme d’Or hotel on Libération Square in St Helier.

There was a small problem of concern and an investigation turned out to be a false alarm, as far as we know.

It comes after Princess Kate smiled as she handed out trophies to Wimbledon players after an intense Grand Slam.

Kate Middleton, 42, handed champion Carlos Alcaraz, 21, his golden cup as he retained his Wimbledon title against rival Novak Djokovic.

Royal chair umpire James Keothavong presented his award first.

She then handed Djokovic, 37, his runner-up trophy after a thrilling clash with Alcaraz – who became the ninth man to retain the Wimbledon title in the Open era.

Djokovic was the last player to do so, crowned victor in 2021 and 2022.

And Prince William and George were seen putting on an emotional display during England’s disappointing Euro 2024 final match against Spain yesterday.

William, who is president of the FA, and his eldest son erupted with joy, leaping from their seats and hugging each other as Cole Palmer equalized to bring the score to England 1-1 to Spain.

But the royal pair also shared a moment of heartbreak and both held their heads as Gareth Southgate’s side were beaten 2-1 by the other team.

In their shared bonding moments, George was also seen appearing to strategize with his father, frowning and pointing towards the pitch amid the intense Euro 2024 final.

Wills was also seen with a similarly invested expression and open hands as he watched from the edge of his seat.

But, tragically for England, an Oyarzabal goal put Spain 2-1 up and the Three Lions’ rivals maintained their lead until the final whistle.
