QUEEN Camilla is celebrating her 77th birthday today and is likely to receive some exquisite jewels from the late Queen’s £533 million collection, according to an expert.

Grant Harrold, who was King Charles’ butler from 2004 to 2011, said the monarch will probably give Camilla something shiny – or something for her dogs.

Speaking on behalf of Spin genius, he said: “The funny thing is, what do you give someone in the royal family? Or a queen? I hope Charles gives her something practical that she wants, a piece of jewelry – or something for her dogs.

“A few days after her birthday, we may notice Camilla wearing a different piece of jewelry, which may have been a birthday present.

“It wouldn’t surprise me if she received something from the late Queen’s jewelry collection. This happens from time to time.”

THE QUEEN’S £533m JEWELRY BOX

King Charles certainly has a vast treasure to choose from, as he inherited an estimated £533 million worth of jewelry, according to Guardian.

The publication identified more than 90 pieces that were part of the late Queen’s personal collection, including diamonds, emeralds, rubies, amethysts, aquamarines and pearl necklaces.

The royal family’s wills are kept secret, so it cannot be known for sure what King Charles inherited after the queen’s death in September 2022.

In an agreement reached by then-Prime Minister John Major, private inheritances from one monarch to another are also immune from inheritance tax.

Of course, it’s difficult to know the total value of each piece of jewelry these days, since the royal and historical connection would likely increase them exponentially.

We saw this with the auction of jewelry belonging to the late Princess Margaret.

Although her pieces were worth much less than the Queen’s sparkling wine collection, they sold for an average of 18 times the auction house’s maximum value.

Using the theory that the Queen’s jewels could be worth at least 10 times their base value, making the estimated value £533 million.

CAMILLA’S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

Speaking on behalf of Slingoformer royal butler Paul Burrell said King Charles will ‘spoil’ Camilla but her birthday will be celebrated ‘privately’ with a party at Clarence House.

He stated: “I think, privately, the king will give him a party at Clarence House or Birkhall and they will have people go to Scotland.

“I don’t think there will be public celebrations because it’s not a milestone anniversary.

“Everything will be behind closed doors. Maybe they’ll go back to the Ritz again because it was such a milestone when they first went out together.

“They like to dine out, but why dine out when you have a fantastic chef at home?

“Dining out for royalty is not easy. They have to have a private dining room.

“And their favorite places are the Ritz and Claridges because they can provide the security, the lockdown they need and that purple corridor, that special place where they can come and go without much interaction with the public or the press.

The late Queen’s £50 million brooch

ONE of the most expensive pieces in the late Queen’s collection – which must now belong to King Charles – is the Williamson brooch, which is worth a jaw-dropping £50million.

It is shaped like a flower and features what is often considered the finest pink diamond ever discovered.

It was unearthed in Tanzania (formerly known as Tanganyika) in 1947, and the mine’s eccentric owner, John Williamson, gave the rough stone to Queen Elizabeth as a wedding gift.

She commissioned Cartier to fashion it into a platinum brooch alongside more than 200 small diamonds, which were also given to her by Williamson.

We saw the late monarch wearing the Williamson brooch at several events, including Charles and Edward’s wedding.

She also used it when she met then US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle.

“Because when they dine out, they like it to be private.

“That is why these two places can offer security and accommodation, which will be a smooth passage for them.

“Because they just can’t go into any old restaurant, can they? No, it will be very difficult for them.

“It will be uncomfortable for them and it will be uncomfortable for the people who have dinner with them.”
