The Prince and Princess of Wales have shared a new photo of Prince George to mark his 11th birthday.
The image, posted to Kensington Palace’s social media accounts, was taken by Kate in Windsor earlier this month.
The black and white photo shows the future King looking smart and grown-up in an open-necked white shirt and dark blazer as he smiles for the camera.
The birthday boy was recently pictured going through a rollercoaster of emotions in Berlin after England lost 2-1 to Spain in the Euro final.
The Prince of Wales and his son George went from ecstasy to agony when the referee blew the final whistle.
The royal pair burst into action and hugged each other as Cole Palmer slotted a goal into the net to make England 1-1 to Spain.
In their adorable bonding moments, George, 10, was also photographed appearing to strategize with his dad.
The young royal furrowed his eyebrows and pointed towards the pitch amid the intense Euro 2024 final.
Meanwhile, Wills was seen with an equally invested expression and open hands as he watched from the edge of his seat.
But it all came crashing down at the end of the game, after a goal from Oyarzabal put Spain up 2-1.
The prince and his father held their heads in their hands as England’s dream of ending 58 years of suffering came crashing down.
This was not the first time that the Prince saw the Three Lions fail to win an important trophy.
In 2020, he was comforted by his father after England suffered another “heartbreaking” Euro final defeat.
William had his hands on his seven-year-old son’s shoulders when they realized the Three Lions weren’t taking him home.
The future king cheered alongside Kate Middleton and football mad Wills with the Wembley crowd of 66,000 as England led 1-0 within the first two minutes.
Despite the initial excitement, George, smartly dressed in a suit and tie, was left devastated – and Kate was also photographed with her head in her hands.
It was previously reported that George “begged” his parents to take him to the game.
He is said to have “twisted his arms” to get into the stands, and his choice of suit was thanks to his father, as “George idolizes him”, according to a royal expert.
Duncan Larcombe said OK! magazine: “That’s why we saw him looking so elegant in his suit – he really wanted to dress like William.”
In late June, George greeted Taylor Swift at her Wembley concert.
A selfie of the royals with Swift was posted to the Prince and Princess of Wales’ Instagram account.
A week earlier, George was photographed playing and laughing with his mother and siblings as they stood on the royal balcony to celebrate the king’s birthday.
Sweet princes George and Louis waved both hands to the crowd with their sister by their side.
Lip reader Gaby Lane captured the cute moment the young prince seemed eager to get his mother’s attention, telling her, “Look over there, Mom,” as they traveled through the mall.
Gaby added that Kate and William’s eldest son “looked so happy” as the family waved and smiled at fans during the procession.
