PRINCE WILLIAM hailed Aston Villa’s new highness – as his message hailing his heroes’ historic Champions League qualification went viral.
The first in line to the throne “can’t wait for next season” after Villa secured the Premier League’s fourth and final place in Europe’s top table.
We are Champions League! A historic season and an incredible achievement. Thanks to Unai, the entire cast and everyone at @AVFCOficial. I can’t wait for the next season. #UTV! W https://t.co/u2px5yLqkR

Your favorite club will be in the continent’s top cup competition for the first time since 1982-83 – when they entered the then-called European Cup as defending champions.
The prince took to social media to share his delight at Villa’s royal rise – after Manchester City’s 2-0 defeat at Tottenham meant fifth-placed Spurs were unable to catch up with his team.
Through his official account with the Princess of Wales, he posted: “We are the Champions League! ! W”
Villa’s players jumped and danced with joy in a video of Unai Emery’s men watching the end-of-season awards on a big screen as City won.
Defender Lucas Digne’s wild party impressed spectators, while goalkeeper Emi Martinez was on hand to give champagne to his teammates.
However, Ollie Watkins looked less happy – with some observers slyly speculating that this was because he is an Arsenal fan who had just seen City virtually seal a fourth title in a row.
However, individual plaudits at Villa this season have focused on the same striker – as well as manager Emery’s incredible 19-month reign.
Watkins’ excellent form means the Englishman could even have hopes of starting Euro 2024, let alone just a place in the squad.

Meanwhile, there have been widespread calls for former Arsenal boss Emery to be named manager of the year.
Shortly after completing the double over the Gunners, Villa were held to a 3-3 draw at home by Liverpool on Monday, thanks to substitute Jhon Duran scoring twice in the final minutes.
And after Erling Haaland’s brace defeated Spurs 24 hours later, Prince William’s royal joy spread the joy.
But despite his exultant post on X, he was quickly corrected on his language by a royal court jester.
This fan suggested that the Prince should shout: “One is the Champions League! I say one is the Champions League!”
But with Pep Guardiola’s men looking certain to win another crown ahead of Arsenal on Sunday’s final day, a fed-up fan asked William to speak in his right ear.
He wrote: “Can you tell your dad to relegate City? Please and thank you.”
King Charles may be too diplomatic for that – but on the other hand, he doesn’t have much of a hand in the game anymore now that his favorite team, Burnley, has been relegated.
Supporters on social media were thrilled to see Prince William’s contribution to Villa’s happiness.
One said: “Imagine having the future King of England as one of your fans. You can’t beat this.
Another asked: “Is there room for me and my son in his royal box next season, I couldn’t get a ticket for him all season.”
