PRINCE William greets Phil Foden and Erling Haaland ahead of yesterday’s FA Cup final – but the Man City pair were not smiling after the match.

Wills was at Wembley as president of the Football Association and later presented winners’ medals to Man Utd, who won 2-1.

He appeared to be giving tips on how to act to his ten-year-old son, Prince George.

But the triumph may not have been enough to save Utd manager Erik Ten Hag.

The Dutchman is expected to be sacked by Utd’s new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe – and appeared to say goodbye to his players on the pitch.

After the match, Erik defiantly responded to rumors that he might be fired.

The Red Devils coach’s future has been in doubt for several weeks following a disappointing season.

Speaking during the post-match press conference, he explained: “Two trophies in two seasons and three finals.

“If they don’t want me anymore, I’ll go somewhere else to win trophies. That’s what I do.”

He added: “I’m here to win and I want to build a team. Throughout my career as a coach I’ve won games and trophies.”

Regarding the success it has brought to Old Trafford compared to previous ones, he said: “When we look at the last decade, there haven’t been as many finals and trophies for this club.”

United’s FA Cup triumph is their second trophy since Ten Hag’s arrival in 2022, following last season’s Carabao Cup victory.
