PRINCESS Charlotte struggled to hide her true feelings as she watched the Wimbledon men’s final today, which saw Carlos Alcaraz beat Novak Djokovic to retain his Grand Slam title.

Nine-year-old Charlotte was joined by her mother, the Princess of Wales, and aunt, Pippa Middleton, as the trio enjoyed a girls’ day out at SW19.

While Kate stunned in a purple Safiyaa dress, the young royal was seen wearing a £70 navy blue Guess dress.

Navy is a color Charlotte has worn countless times in the past – and she’s also worn a blue bow in her hair.

Her brown hair was half tied into sweet braids, secured with a bow.

Charlotte paired the outfit with a pair of simple cream pumps.

During the tense match, in which Alcaraz beat Djokovic 6-2, 6-2,7-6 (4), Charlotte delighted fans with her hilarious facial expressions.

The princess clenched her teeth and bit her lip as she avidly watched the game unfold.

Before the match, Charlotte couldn’t stop smiling when she met Emma Radacanu.

The 21-year-old tennis pro presented Princess Kate with a beautiful bouquet of flowers as she chatted with the royal.

Kate received a standing ovation from the crowd as she made her way to her seat, while Charlotte smiled proudly at her mother.

Princess Kate’s grand return to the Wimbledon final!

Royal expert Ingrid Seward revealed to The Sun why Kate decided to take Charlotte to Wimbledon today.

She said: “It was a long-standing promise that Kate would take Charlotte to the finals as a special gift.

“Kate felt guilty about not being able to spend as much time as she would have liked with the children because of her exhaustion after treatment.

“Charlotte has always loved tennis and her mother Kate took her to Hurlingham when she was very young to play tennis there.”

Meet Princess Charlotte

Born on May 2, 2015, Princess Charlotte has become a much-loved member of the Royal Family.

She continued: “Tennis is a big family thing on both sides.

“So it’s a super special day for Kate to be able to share this with Charlotte and a lot more fun for her to have Charlotte there and explain the details of what’s going on.

“It’s also a distraction, so she doesn’t feel busy and the center of everyone’s attention. Charlotte is there to divert things from her too. Kate was determined to be at Wimbledon on finals day if possible.”

She said: “This is a positive sign for Kate’s recovery programme.

“But this is only her second appearance in a year and will possibly be her last until the end of the school holidays.”
