OUR Royal Editor says Meghan Markle could still return to the UK with Archie and Lilibet to meet King Charles.

The Sun’s Matt Wilkinson answered Brits’ burning questions in a live blog today – just days before Prince Harry’s return to the UK.

The Duke is returning to the UK to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games and will touch down after his father makes his public return tomorrow.

The King is set to visit a cancer hospital – 11 weeks after revealing he himself was diagnosed with the disease.

Our Royal Editor Matt is here to answer your burning questions – from what treatment Monarch is getting to how he feels better.

Matt also explains what we know about Harry’s trip – and whether Meghan will ever return to Britain.

Will Meghan ever return to the UK? Joana

Meghan has shown very little interest in doing anything in the UK since Megxit.

Interestingly, the Sussex camp has neither confirmed nor denied whether Meghan will join Harry when he flies out next week.

The Sussex camp carefully worded the announcement that Meghan will not be at the ceremony but will join Harry on his trip to Nigeria.

Is she coming or not? I get the impression the Sussexes are waiting to test the reaction before making a decision or announcement this time.

Talks could be taking place in the background, in the vain hope that Meghan could arrive with her children and meet the king. She could join Harry at other Invictus events held next week.

Charles will never let Harry return as a part-time royal – but reconciliation with William will be even more difficult, expert says

But I think she knows she’s not welcome and that being the center of attention won’t go over well. Yes, I hope she returns on occasional occasions for important events such as funerals, weddings or coronations, as Wallis Simpson would. But what about next week? Watch this space.

How is King Charles now? Is he really on the road to recovery? Alisson

The king has made it clear to his aides that he feels he is raring to go after being told his recovery was going well.

There has been optimism since he appeared at the Easter Sunday service. This is the event where he attended mass at St. George’s Chapel and shook hands with around 60 well-wishers. His team said it was a “positive” day.

The King is the driving force behind this public return. He’s been told his recovery is going well, so he wants to “supercharge” his journal.

The King is the one who wants to return to work and it is the doctors and advisors who ask for caution.

Remember, though, he is cleared to return to work, but he is not medically cleared for his cancer. And as anyone who has known someone with cancer knows, the road to recovery is long and has many twists and turns.

Does the King receive the same treatment as everyone else, or is the treatment he receives better than that of the average person? Robbie

The king has asked that his cancer treatment be kept confidential and the palace is concerned about violating his medical privacy.

But it was said that he has received so-called pioneering treatment.

I have a feeling that in the future the King will be able to talk about his diagnosis, the type of cancer and the treatment he received, when he feels the time is right.

The king would likely receive private medical care and not be placed on a regular waiting list like everyone else.

The country needs a fully operational and healthy King for the constitution to function properly and I do not believe anyone would begrudge the King receiving the best possible medical treatment available.

How long will your treatment likely last? Tone

The palace insists that the fight against cancer is not over and that treatment continues. The king has been receiving outpatient care since February, meaning he goes to a hospital for treatment.

During the first two months, he was forced to remain away from London in order to attend scheduled appointments, but also in case of any emergency.

But the fact that he was allowed to spend several weeks 500 miles from his London hospital in the remote Scottish Highlands at his Birkhall retreat meant that the amount of treatment needed was reduced and the risk of an emergency was reduced.

This is good news. I do not have a date for the end of the treatment and this will be up to the King and his medical team to announce.

But we know that the palace is organizing a grueling trip to Australia in the autumn, which gives an indication of the optimism that the need for regular hospital visits could soon end.

Does the king only have two years to live, as has been reported elsewhere? Fall

When the king announced that he had cancer, there was a lot of pessimism and fears that his reign would be short.

But no official or close associate of the king, that I know of, ever spoke in terms of having two more years to live.

There can rarely be certainty about cancer, especially since so little time has passed since its diagnosis. Recall that Prime Minister Rishi Sunak expressed the belief that palace officials were confident a few weeks ago that the cancer had been detected early.

With royal doctors giving the green light for the king to return to frontline public service, I would suggest that anyone claiming to know life expectancy is either mistaken or making it up.

Recovery from cancer can be very difficult both mentally and physically. What types of leisure activities help Charles feel better? Would it be playing an instrument or strolling through its beautiful gardens? Natalia

Firstly, the King is a workaholic, even at 75! Throughout his recovery, he has read government newspapers, performed his constitutional role, met with ambassadors and maintained regular contact with the Prime Minister through traditional weekly phone calls or hearings.

We even saw the King arrive in Scotland for a period of rest and recuperation earlier this month with a bunch of government Red Boxes to read.

Secondly, he is fortunate to own several properties where he has time and space for leisure. He has enjoyed touring the grounds of Sandringham, Norfolk, and the Balmoral estate in Scotland.

And tending to her beloved gardens in Highgrove, Gloucestershire and Birkhall, Scotland.

Furthermore, he reads a lot and is relaxed when painting. He once said that “painting transports me to another dimension that literally refreshes parts of the soul that other activities cannot reach.”

Thirdly, while at Windsor Castle he kept busy visiting the Prince and Princess of Wales. The king and Catherine had lunch together the day before she announced her fight against cancer.

Will Harry visit the king when he is in the UK? Jane

I would expect Harry to desperately want to see his father when he was here. Harry does not have a home in the UK and on previous occasions he has stayed in a hotel.

So when he’s here next week, it will be to mark the 10-year anniversary of the Invictus Games, rather than attending any official royal event where he will see the king.

When he flew after his father’s cancer diagnosis, he only had 30 minutes of face-to-face time.

This meeting may have been short both by doctor’s orders and by the king’s immunity being low after receiving cancer treatment, so spending time with someone who had flown 5,000 miles in a busy plane was not wise – as the friction caused by Megxit and Harry’s subsequent attacks.

But the king may be in London when Harry is here, because there is a garden party at Buckingham Palace on the same day.

It wouldn’t be difficult to arrange a meeting. The king has always said that his door is open for his ‘dear boy’ and if Harry wanted to know how his father was, I can’t imagine him refusing.

Is Prince William likely to see his brother this week? Laura

While the king has made it clear that the door is always open for Harry to visit, William is a different story.

And rightly so, he feels deeply hurt by the betrayal and is very protective of the Princess of Wales. Harry will have to do much more to receive his brother’s forgiveness.

William also has a lot to deal with, as Catherine continues to be ill and he already has several commitments on his agenda next week. I can’t see that happening.

With the King and Princess of Wales unable to carry out full-time royal duties, was Charles’ idea of a ‘simplified monarchy’ a mistake? Julia

There’s no doubt that the Royal Family looks sparse, but only at first glance. The king is coming back.

The Queen has really grown into her role. She doesn’t forget Princess Anne, as practically nothing stops her. It is also important to note that Edward and Sophie, now the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, have new roles and are undertaking a huge and often unfamiliar workload.

So yes, without the ‘superstars’ Princess of Wales and the King, then it can all look thin on the ground. But both will return. Perhaps we need to question the demands we make of the Royal Family.

Prince William indicated a way forward in his comments in Singapore last year at Earthshot, when he warned “if you spread yourself too thin, you simply won’t be able to manage and you won’t make the impact or the change that you really want to happen.” .

Therefore, we are possibly facing a lean monarchy that understands that it needs to work more intelligently.

Do we really want to work them to the bone? Or would we prefer them to choose a smaller number of issues on which they can achieve greater achievement? The era when Prince Philip, for example, had 992 patronages to work with is over.

I love the Royal Garden parties – is King Charles likely to attend this year? If not, which Royal will replace? James

We all want to see the King at a party in the Royal Garden this year (even those of us who don’t have an invite this time).

There are two at Buckingham Palace in May and one at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh in July.

I asked the palace on Sunday if they knew if the king was present and they were unable to confirm. But if I were a betting man, I would suggest you get your wish.
