The King gave staff a pay rise on the anniversary of his coronation.
Charles, 75, who celebrates the first anniversary of his and Camilla’s coronation on Monday, is delivering a “thank you” to courtiers and aides.
Everyone earning less than £35,000 a year will receive an extra six per cent, while those earning more than this will receive 5.5 per cent.
A source said: “It’s easy to forget how hard people work behind the scenes at the Palace, but the King hasn’t.
“He and Camilla had a lot of reasons to worry about the cancer diagnosis, but clearly he is thinking about others too.
“This is a real morale boost for the team.”
The increase follows an allowance for living costs, heating and mortgage, which Charles funded from his reserves in 2022. Staff received up to £600.
Buckingham Palace declined to comment on the pay rise.
‘No plans for Harry yet’

KING Charles still has no firm plans to meet Prince Harry during his visit to London – but will try to see his son if he can.
Harry is due to attend an Invictus Games ceremony on Wednesday at St Paul’s Cathedral.
Charles is expected to be at a Buckingham Palace garden party and meet the Prime Minister that day.
A source confirmed that the king “has a busy schedule on Wednesday”.
They added: “There are no firm plans at this time for a reunion between them.”
