Ruturaj Gaikwad (captain)

Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaikwad has had a decent campaign with the bat this season. With 241 runs in seven matches and a strike rate of 130.27, Gaikwad will be hoping to showcase his destructive form against LSG.

Rachin Ravindra

New Zealand opening batsman Rachin Ravindra is currently going through a poor phase in IPL 2024. The left-hander has struggled at the top of the order, having managed to score just 133 runs in seven matches, but will be supported against LSG due to his versatile skills.

Ajinkya Rahane

Ajinkya Rahane played a crucial role in CSK’s successful campaign last season. He hasn’t really been among the runs in IPL 2024, having scored just 160 runs at a strike rate of 130.08, but experience from him could help CSK against LSG.

One of the most expensive uncapped players, Sameer Rizvi, is likely to be supported in the lower middle-order against LSG. With 125 strikes, Rizvi has scored just 15 runs in three innings so far but can be destructive when given a chance.

MS Dhoni (wicketkeeper)

Naveen-ul-Haq

Afghanistan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq is an integral part of LSG’s pace battery, having taken six wickets in five matches this season. A bowler with a lot of variety, Naveen is capable of bowling in difficult situations and will be one of LSG’s biggest threats on the ball against CSK.
