Virat Kohli is stamping his class in IPL 2024. He is currently top-ranked in IPL 2024 with a tally of 634 in 12 innings. With five fifties and a century under his belt, Kohli’s form bodes well for the Indian cricket team ahead of the 2024 T20 World Cup. Kohli’s last half-century came against the Punjab Kings when he scored 47 balls of 92. While his innings had all the elements to be one of his best innings in this edition of the IPL, Kohli made big news by going viral off Shashank Singh.

Kohli grabbed the ball after running a good distance and threw the ball in the air to run out Shashank Singh, PBKS’ most consistent batsman.

Now a new visual of the burnout has arrived, which shows exactly how the burnout happened.

Talking to the broadcasters after the match ended, he gave a glimpse into how he changed his batting in this IPL.

“I brought the sweep to the spinners. I just mentally put myself in that situation and didn’t practice at all,” Kohli said after the match. “I know I can get it right because I’ve done it a lot in the past. So I felt like I needed to take a little more risk, and for me, that shot was something I used to hit regularly back then. . And it also allows me to hit on the back foot, because I’m always looking to expose that side of the pitch against spin. For me, that has been an important factor in this IPL.

“So, I think you just need a little more conviction and remove that thought that sustains: ‘what if you leave’. I have been able to stay ahead of that thinking in this IPL and it has really helped me in the middle overs in this IPL, keeping my strike rate high and keeping the scoring rate for the team as well,” he said.
