Delhi Capitals all-rounder Tristan Stubbs has revealed that Kuldeep Yadav doesn’t bowl to him in the nets. “He doesn’t play for me, I’ve tried a few times to tackle him but he doesn’t play for me,” Tristan Stubbs told The Grade Cricketer podcast. The young South African rose to fame during the 2024 IPL and has been one of the main reasons behind Delhi Capitals’ recent resurgence in the top four. In 12 games played so far, the middle-order batsman has scored 318 runs at an average of 53 while boasting an impressive strike rate of 188.17.
When asked on the podcast about facing the trademark Kuldeep Yadav, Stubbs reiterated that despite repeated attempts, India’s left-arm star refuses to bowl to him.
“I think he’s trying to keep it a mystery, so I can’t say I tried to confront him, but he wasn’t having it,” he said.

Stubbs will play in his first major ICC tournament and could be a key player for South Africa during the T20 World Cup
Stubbs was also asked if he wanted to face Kuldeep in order to prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup, should a situation between India and South Africa present itself in the knockout stages of the tournament, to which the 23-year-old replied: “I think That wasn’t said discreetly, but I think so.”
Stubbs also said that Kuldeep is smart to do this and that the duo “are on the same page”.
Meanwhile, Kuldeep has taken 14 wickets in nine matches, with DC currently fifth in the points table.
