The Indian stars climbed the ICC women’s T20I rankings with their all-round show, which saw them complete a whitewash series in Bangladesh. India are enjoying success just months ahead of this year’s ICC Women’s T20 World Cup as they registered a hard-fought victory over Bangladesh in the five-match series. The ICC on Tuesday released the latest women’s T20I rankings, with captain Harmanpreet Kaur moving up three places to 13th in the T20I batsmen’s list following her 105 runs in the series. Her compatriot Richa Ghosh moved up two places to 23rd after her unbeaten 28* in the final match of the series.

While left-arm spinner Radha Yadav has moved up seven places to 23rd and Titas Sadhu has moved up 18 places to 60th in the T20I rankings for bowlers.

Along with the Indian stars, a group of England players have also shown progress in the latest rankings.

England won the opening game of the series at home against Pakistan in the first T20I. Home captain Heather Knight moved up four places to 18th in the T20I batting list after hitting 49 in Birmingham.

Experienced wicketkeeper Amy Jones was named player of the match in England’s 53-run triumph in the first T20I.

She starred with her quick knock of 37 and four catches behind the stumps. The 30-year-old improved three places to 26th in the T20I batting rankings.

All-rounder Sarah Glenn picked four wickets to help England reduce Pakistan to just 110 in response to England’s total of 163/6. The leg-spinner has moved up two places to fourth behind teammate Sophie Ecclestone in the updated list of T20I bowlers.

A total of four England bowlers are in the top 10 in the bowling rankings. Charlotte Dean is ranked fifth and pacer Lauren Bell has jumped four places to seventh and a new career-high ranking following her 3/22 spell against Pakistan.

Sri Lankan players have also enjoyed success following their triumph in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier event. Captain Chamari Athapaththu inspired her team and appeared alongside the island nation’s stars to be rewarded.

Athapaththu was the tournament’s top scorer. She contributed a brilliant century in the final against Scotland.

His efforts helped Sri Lanka secure their place in this year’s T20 World Cup. The veteran opening batsman has moved up two places to seventh in the list of T20I batsmen.

Along with the bat, Athapaththu also showed his class with the ball by contributing seven wickets in the tournament. As a result, she also showed progress in the all-rounders rankings, moving up one place to fifth in the T20I all-rounders list.

His teammates Inoshi Fernando (up five places to 19th) and Udeshika Prabodhani (up five places to 30th) also made their mark at the Abu Dhabi event to advance in the updated T20I rankings for bowlers.
