Lucknow Super Giants owner Sanjiv Goenka invited captain KL Rahul to his house following the huge controversy over their heated conversation after the defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024. According to LSG sources, Rahul attended the dinner at the house of Goenka on Monday. Earlier, Goenka was spotted having a lively conversation with Rahul and coach Justin Langer after the heavy defeat. The incident sparked massive criticism from experts and fans, with Goenka facing outrage for publicly berating the cricketer. However, it seems there are no differences in the LSG camp as a photo of KL Rahul hugging Sanjiv Goenka has gone viral on social media.

The Lucknow Super Giants are still in the IPL 2024 playoff race as they can secure their spot in the Top 4 with wins in the remaining two matches. They face Delhi Capitals on Tuesday.

LSG will have to win the remaining two matches and that will take them to 16 points.

If Chennai Super Kings beat Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad win one of the remaining two matches, all three sides could finish with 16 points and LSG could not qualify due to their lower net run rate (NRR).

If SRH wins both matches and CSK loses to RCB, LSG will move into fourth position.

If SRH loses both matches, LSG can go ahead by winning the remaining matches irrespective of what happens in the clash between CSK and RCB.

LSG assistant coach Lance Klusener previously spoke out about the entire controversy.

“I have no problem with a robust discussion between two cricket lovers. So for us, I think it’s just a storm in a teacup. big thing for us,” said the South African during the pre-match press conference.
