British Indian Trishan Patel has joined the Pakistan national football team as an assistant coach and performance analyst in Islamabad.

The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) said Patel, a UEFA A-level coach, had previously given online training to the Pakistan team.

“He will assist coach Stephen Constantine in preparing the team for the World Cup preliminary qualifiers in the Asia region,” said a PFF official.

He added that Patel will be with the team for the matches against Saudi Arabia and Tajikistan.

The home match against Saudi Arabia will be played on June 6, while the away match against Tajikistan will be on June 11.

The manager said Patel has a lot of experience as a coach, having worked at Liverpool’s academy and also at Luton Town FC.
