Pakistani batsman Azam Khan was brutally trolled on social media after being dismissed for a golden duck during the 2024 T20 World Cup match against the United States on Wednesday. Azam has been struggling to score runs for some time now and even during the T20I series against England, he faced a lot of criticism from fans and pundits after a series of low scores and fielding errors. During Pakistan’s debut in the T20 World Cup, Azam came out to bat with his team under pressure and was trapped LBW by Nosthush Kenjige in the very first delivery. Social media users criticized him for his form and even referred to the “nepotism” debate surrounding him as he is the son of former Pakistan captain Moin Khan.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam confirmed that Imad Wasim has suffered an injury and will play four pacers against the USA. “We would have bowled first as well. He (Imad) is injured but we will cover it up by bowling against the four fast bowlers,” Babar said.
