4.5 overs (0 runs)Top delivery!

Jonny Bairstow now heads towards the centre.

4.4 overs (0 runs)OUTSIDE! WOOD! A master craftsman at work! Jasprit Bumrah gets a little further out now and bowls this one at 125.8 KPH, just a wee bit full and sending it back a mile. The ball is bowled, Phil Salt clears his front leg to get it through mid-wicket but ends up playing over the ball. The ball hits the stumps and England missed the first two goals in the first five overs.

4.3 overs (0 runs)Quickest now, bowled at a strong length and leaning back a little, Phil Salt keeps it to the leg side.

4.2 overs (1 run)Let go and run! Another slower and full bowler, Moeen Ali with a block to the off side before going for the single.

4.1 overs (0 runs)Expertly done by Jasprit Bumrah. The slowest, angled upwards on the stump and is the cutter that spins after delivery. Moeen Ali just tries to block but the ball goes past the outside edge and falls in front of the keeper.

3.6 overs (2 runs)Well placed by Phil Salt and the batsmen get two more easy ones. Short on length and outside off stump, Salt rises and just moves it away from the sweeper cover to make a brace.

3.5 overs (1 run)Arm ball now, pitched on length and around off, Moeen Ali looks to play but confuses the ball for a run.

3.4 overs (2 runs)On length again and leaning towards the stumps, Moeen Ali works it in front of square on the leg side and gets some easy runs in the deep.

3.3 overs (1 run)Quicker and flatter around the stump, Phil Salt uses the depth of the crease and backs away before hammering it long for just one.

3.2 overs (1 run)Tossed flatter and longer, slanting it outside off, Moeen Ali waits behind and just flicks the ball through middle for a single.

Moeen Ali comes third. Moeen was sent ahead of Jonny Bairstow to counter Axar Patel’s left-arm spin.

3.1 overs (0 runs)OUTSIDE! CAPTURED! What an introduction to the offense for Axar Patel and he has the big fish. Axar just moves forward around the stumps and slides one of them with that high arm action. Jos Buttler tries to put him under pressure immediately by reverse sweeping but misses the ball right off the tip of the bat. The ball goes up just behind the keeper and Rishabh Pant hits the ball.

2.6 overs (1 run)The slower bumper now, dug very short and over the stumps, also remains low, Jos Buttler is surprised but manages to direct the pull in front of square leg for a single.

2.5 overs (4 runs)FOUR! Belted from the opposite side! A slower third ball at the trot but very short and wide, Jos Buttler gets to the top of the bounce and knocks the ball in front of Ravindra Jadeja at cover for a third boundary in the long over.

2.4 overs (0 runs)Just behind and tilting it to the right, Jos Buttler presses back and forces it into cover.

2.3 overs (0 runs)Much better with Arshdeep Singh. Slower, bowled fuller and around off, Jos Buttler is well into the run and gets an inside edge back on the pads.

2.2 overs (4 runs)FOUR! This was straight from Arshdeep Singh and is an easy pick for Jos Buttler. Too short and hip length, Buttler just tickles fine leg and takes consecutive boundaries.

2.1 overs (4 runs)FOUR! LITTLE MORE THAN! Tossed outside the line of off stump, Jos Buttler dances down the track and stands leg-side to the ball before deflecting it over a leaping Hardik Pandya, mid-off for a boundary.

1.6 overs (1 run)On a good length and on the pads, Jos Buttler with a flick of the wrist and the ball goes to deep square leg as the batsmen get it.

1.5 overs (4 runs)FOUR! A little streaky and a little slick too from Jos Buttler. Slightly fuller in length and close to stump, Buttler is trapped behind but does well to just open the bat face at the last minute to get past the keeper and into third place for four runs.

1.4 overs (0 runs)Good length in the channel around off, Jos Buttler comes back and crosses it before trying to squeeze it on the off side but can’t find the gap at cover point.

1.3 overs (0 runs)There’s that slow nature of the pitch on display again. Leaning a little, slowing the pace too, Jos Buttler looks to drive it up but mistimes it up on the bounce towards mid on.

1.2 overs (2 runs)On a stiff, slanting length towards the batsman, Jos Buttler traps it perfectly behind square leg and makes some useful runs.

1.1 overs (1 run)Starts with a good length delivery on a much straighter line across the stumps, Phil Salt comes into the crease and gets it to deep square leg for a single.

Who will launch on the other side? It will be Jasprit Bumrah.

0.6 over (1 run)Off the pads and just five runs come out of the first over of the chase. It’s a little short and hip-high, Phil Salt gets tangled up and the ball comes off his thigh towards short, fine leg. They say goodbye.

0.5 above (0 runs)Good move from Arshdeep Singh! Bowls slower at just 118 km/h and goes around the stump, Phil Salt steps forward to go big but is beaten as the ball rolls to the keeper.

0.4 over (1 run)On a length and on the stumps, swinging back a little, Jos Buttler moves forward to mid-wicket and takes a single.

0.3 above (2 runs)Arshdeep Singh drags the length well back and bowls it to the batsman. Jos Buttler realizes this quickly and comes down the track before pulling the ball between deep square leg and the long-leg man for a couple of runs.

0.2 above (0 runs)Bowled around the line of off stump and causing him to back off a bit, late too. Jos Buttler tries to play it up but is a little late and hits the inside half of the bat to the leg side.

0.1 over (1 run)England is up and running immediately! Just a hint of swing from Arshdeep Singh as he bowls and shapes it back onto the pads. Phil Salt flicks it to square leg and takes it with a single.
