Rohan Bopanna and his Australian partner Matthew Edben crashed out of the Wimbledon men’s doubles second round after a straight sets defeat to Hendrick Jebens and Constantin Frantzen in London on Saturday. Second seeds Bopanna and Ebden were defeated by their unseeded German opponents 3-6, 6-7 (4) in just over an hour. Australian Open winners Bopanna and Ebden conceded a break in the first set and it was enough for Jebens and Frantzen to progress in the match.

The match was suspended due to rain when the second set was tied at five games. There was no service interruption on the set.

At the restart, the match headed towards a tiebreaker, where Jebens Frantzen took a comfortable 4-1 lead, which he never squandered.
